“Fairground Fun”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

Just want to say a huge thank you to the person who has invested in saving and restoring this wonderful collection of Fairground memorabilia (and old cars, child's caravan, amazing models of transport, steam engines...). The penny arcade games and rides brought back memories of happy days at the fair and seaside. One can enjoy rides like the Thriller, bumper cars, Ghost Train, flying chairs...
The Fairground, Dance and Street organs built in Germany, Belgium and Netherlands etc., around 100 years ago are just AMAZING for their design/artwork and technology of their workings, which produce fabulous sound.
There's also a ballroom surrounded by Wurlitzers and grand street organs. They also run events like tea dances and venue can be hired for special events. A wonderful place to take children and school groups. (I'm a teacher.) Great value for money. Need 2-3 hrs if you do everything, read the signs, eat there...I took my parents (in their 80s) and they loved the place. Nice cafe area with good food. Very modern and clean bathrooms. Plenty of seating.

“A fab afternoon”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

We spent a lovely Wednesday afternoon at the tea dance at this collection. We are keen dancers and usually try to find a local dance when we are on holiday but, never expected such fun. The person who has set this place up has obviously spent a lot of time and money setting up this collection of fairground rides and organs, there are also 2 wurlitzers.

We arrived for a 1pm start, there were 45 minutes sessions of music for dancing and in the breaks you have the chance to go on the rides, we went on the carousel, the speedway (hold on tight it goes v fast, in fact my handbag flew off) and the ghost train.

It was a lot of fun and a slightly surreal way to spend the afternoon - we will be back next time we are in the area.

“We will be back!!!!”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

Hi Guys, Girls and attractions!!! Just wanted to say what a great time we had when we visited with my son on Friday. He especially liked the kiddies area with the wooden train and if the 'Tortoise' caravan ever wants a new owner or even a trip out for the week, let me know as I would love to holiday in a place like that. We will be back very soon X

“All the fun of Scarborough Fair”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

Our trip to Scarborough was arranged to include a visit to Scarborough Fair on a Wednesday to include this excellent museum and afternoon tea dance. The museum includes a superb and extensive range of Steam showman engines, fairground organs, rides and related items all under cover. The tea dance to a wurlitzer organ played by a resident organist was excellent. There is much to entertain all age groups with an interest in mechanical items and seeing things operate from a time gone by. I loved it (active senior)
