“We've booked again already!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2011

Stayed here for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend. The location of the hotel is spot on. Its right next to the shopping centre and about a 5 min walk to the main shopping street which takes you to the front. There is a small garden area next to the hotel which is nice to sit in and quiet (away from the main road!)

The car park is very small but the hotel offers passes on the street outside for £3 a day.

The room are nice and clean although the bathroom could have used a bit of TLC, but for the price we paid i could not complain. As much tea and coffee as you need and a bottle of water each day too which we thought was a ncie touch!

The staff in the hotel are brilliant, really nice and helpful, could not do enough for us! This was a major plus for us and really made the atmosphere in the hotel shine. Reception is manned 24 hours so anything you need you get it!

We would recommend Marmalades Restaurant which is part of the hotel. The food was really good and not badly priced. We went on saturday night and there was a live jazz band playing. This is also where you have breakfast in the morning. You can have a full English as well as continental (croisants, cereals, juice, yogurt etc).

We were so impressed with the hotel we have booked to go back with our children in July.

Definately worth a visit if your staying in Scarborough.

Pulled up in the small car-park at the front of the hotel after a seven and a half hour scooter ride and peeled ourselves off the saddle to check in.

We had booked a suite as, leaving booking to the last minute and it being Easter, the only other room available at the time was a double with a shower only and I really, really needed a long soak in the bath.

Fabulous room, huge, nicely decorated and very clean. View across the park and out to sea (it was foggy but we were assured it was there!). The only minor fault was that there was no chest of drawers but we were only staying 3 nights and did not have a lot of clothes so t-shirts etc. just got piled up in the bedside cabinet.

We ordered lunch on Saturday in the bar louge and a traditional Sunday dinner in Marmalade's restaurant - both of which were very good.

If, however, you just fancy a pint in a local pub, you could do no better than to walk down the hill for 5 mins and visit "The Hole in the Wall". Can also recommend "George Michael's" Greek restaurant, just along the road from the hotel.

We stayed for two nights last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff at front desk were very friendly and helpful and gave us a lovely welcome. Our room was quite spacious and even though out to the main road very quiet (could not hear any traffic at all) Bathroom was also very spacious with big towels and a heated towel rack ! We had one meal at the hotel's own restaurant with live jazz music in the background which was nice entertainment (and not too loud so you could still enjoy your meal and have conversation) Towards later in the evening the band played some more popular tunes and it felt a bit like a private party with your own band.
Food was absolutely delicous too - my chosen main course was not available so I chose something else which then also turned out not be available (next to us was a group of maybe 12 so I think they got their order in before us) and the waiter was very apologetic and kept spoiling us for the rest of evening (free pre-starter and a glass of Prosecco).

My wife and I have just returned from a weekend break at the Beiderbecke hotel and need to let you know that we had a wonderful stay. Don't let the outside of this hotel put you off, once inside we found the bar, lounge and dining areas very well presented. Our room was large, clean with an excellent sized bathroom. The room was very comfortable with plenyty of storage space. (we were in room 221)
The staff were exetremely friendly, polite and very professional at all times.
The restaurant was very beautifully decorated, and the food did not dissapoint with an excellent chioce's.

We stayed at Beiderbecke's for a Charity Event which was held in the hotel. We found the staff very friendly and helpful which made for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The food for the evening event was first rate and the large cooked breakfast the next morning was excellent and prepared to order. Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped including complimentary make-up remover! There was free parking on site which was an added bonus. We would definitely recomend this hotel.

We stayed here for one night whilst visiting friends, so didn't use the restaurant. Our room was quiet and very comfy, especially mattress and pillows. Helpful staff let us leave suitcase until train time. The breakfast was one of the best we have had for some considerable time. We got a good deal because of the time of year and were blessed with a sunny day. We would stay again if we got a similar deal, no question.
