“"Excellent all round"”

We booked in as a last minute one night stay. From the moment of our arrival, the staff proved to be both attentive without being intrusive, and friendly without being over familiar, and went about their work with a smile.
Our suite was roomy, in excellent condition of decor and cleanliness, and the bed one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in.
The hotel is located very centrally, but despite this we were not disturbed by any overnight noise, other than the sound of seagulls in the morning.
We chose to eat at the hotel Brasserie,Marmalade's - taking advantage of the 2 for 1 offer, and were rewarded with an excellent meal, and were pleased to find that even the bread rolls were "home made". The chicken parfait with red onion marmalade for starters was psrticularly tasty and well-balanced. There are plenty of other resturants nearby if you wished to eat out.
Breakfast was of as high a standard as the evening meal.
All round an excellent night's stay, very good value and we would highly recommend it for couples looking for a night (or more) away. We shall certainly be returning.

My husband and I stayed here with our two small children whilst visiting Scarborough for an event. It is very well located on the Crescent in the North Bay and we had a lovely big corner room with about five windows and views towards the sea whcih we could just see through the trees of the gardens in front. Breakfast was very good and the staff helpful and friendly. The restaurant looked lovely but we didnt eat there with the children - we were planning on going to Le Chat Noir on Eastborough for some Breton pancakes but it has sadly changed hands and is only open in the evening now which is a shame. The new teashop across the road was good though and the lady owner very welcoming. Would definitely return to Beiderbeck's and the tea shop!

Room Tip: Pay for a suite!

2nd time here and we booked a double for 2 nights with breakfast - having been in a fantastic suite last time we were very happy to see that the double was spacious and had plenty of room to accomodate our baby grandaughter; a travel cot was provided gratis which was a nice touch! Great touches in the room also with make-up wipes for the Mrs, bottled water & the local tourist magazine which I read in quite possibly the fastest to fill up bath in the world! Staff great - from the lovely team at the front of house (who helped me find my Mrs twice as I lost her.....not on purpose!) to the young guy in the bar who served up a quality pint in a nice atmosphere (home made breadsticks on the bar smokin!) Breakfast quality and good choice - didn't eat at Marmalades this time as with the little bean but will be back for the Taste Of Yorks menu.....thanks guys will be back soon & if you are reading this & thinking about dabbling, take it from me you need Beiderderbecke's & Scaborough in your life!

We stayed just for one night, and loved everything about the hotel - the looks, breakfast, service, staff attitude towards guest. You get all your famous Northern hospitality and an extra helping of professionalism. Home away from home. Oh wait, not all my requests at home are attended to as promptly and professionally...
Location is amazing - just a block away from the shops, but very quiet and actually overlooking a lovely garden in the middle of the Crescent. Not more than 5-10 minutes to the sea, too.

Our room was in the attic and it was lovely. Nicely decorated, perfectly cleaned, nice view.
We were late arriving for various reasons, yet the staff helped us to park in the miniscule car park, booked us into the restaurant and made us really feel welcome. Food in the restaurant was the most luxurious we'd ever had, real gourmet stuff as far as we were concerned, tasty and filling without over-fillling us. Lovely house wine, though a bit dear, as it often is. We had arrived on Saturday, so there was free jazz from a trio in the restaurant. On the Sunday night, the wine waiter said that he'd forgotten to say that house wine was included on both nights, because we had the set meal an offer that isn't always on.
The hotel is on the crescent, so there's a little park outside and the local museum. We also went to the geological museum, which was lovely.

We just enjoyed everything.

Room Tip: There is no lift to the attic / top floor rooms.

The two best things about the hotel are the very comfortable king size bed and the fantastic breakfast.

We booked a standard room and got a very good sized and well furnished suite, the en-suite included both a bath and a shower. The compimentary toiletries were also above standard and had nice little extras.

The staff were very friendly with out being pushy or scripted. Location is close to most things, although not so great being at the top of the hill, but where in Scarborough isn't?

Unfortunalely, we didn't chose to eat dinner in the restaurant, but probably shoud have as we ended up in a very poor italian restaurant.

Breakfast was very nice indeed, the scrambled eggs were amazing and the menu catered for all tastes. Very relaxed, could have been better if it was a bit later though but all in all it was excellent.

Would definately go back or reccomend.

We booked a Saturday night here dinner bed & breakfast , upon our arrival me were met by friendly attentive staff ,our room ( a suite ) was spotless & well furnished the bed was extremely comfortable & the bathroom was well appointed too ( great shower ) . Our dinner was first class , the staff were attentive & polite without sounding like they were reading a script " is everything ok there etc " the waiter was very helpful offering recomdations on wine & food choice . This was accompanied by music from a Jazz trio who were great ,not a fan of Jazz as a rule but I was won over by the smooth tunes as we ate .fabulously positioned for the town or the sea .if you value great service & great food I can't recomend this hotel enough.
