“Farm shop restaurant with no sausages?”

This attractive, airy barn conversion serves well presented meals at reasonable prices. The staff were pleasant but didn't know at the time of ordering that they had no sausages for the "Farmer's Hearty Breakfast"! Apologies later made it was decided extra bacon would compensate. The quality of there farm produce in this meal is usually spot on. Indeed, the black pudding is to die for, the egg was delicious, the bacon (1 extra rasher today) was perfect. However, no sausage and the most anaemic looking, bland baked beans I have ever seen.
A really good plate of food spoilt by two fundamental and basic errors. What the farmer would say to this hearty breakfast I couldn't imagine...

I recently went here for lunch with some friends. There was a lovely choice of local home made food, all freshly prepared and delicious and good value for money. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed, ad everywhere was clean and tidy. There is a nice sun lounge and tables outside in a nice garden area. Well worth a visit.

prebooked afternoon tea for eight ladies, was made to feel unwelcome from the start as id reserved a table & the tearooms were busy??? moved to a seperate room which was great but was told they couldnt turn away passing trade for the sake of party bookings??? by this time i felt gulity for booking an afternoon tea & spending nearly £60!!! food came on platters but less than we had paid for on previous occasions, drinks came lukewarm with no seperate hot water,we were told "well theres a kettle in there"!!! when we questioned these issues the individual in charge argued with us,was extremely rude, sarcastic & undermining.we all have children & visit regularly to eat & use the play area but after the way we were treated we will not be returning! local buisnesses really shouldnt treat customers, especially locals in that manner, after all its a long winter!!!

Popped in one Saturday afternoon for 'Afternoon Tea' with husband, teenager and toddler.
Nice menu choices, including fab finger platter for the little one.
The food served was fresh, tasty and very filling!
Staff were polite and friendly and the area was clean and tidy.
Must appeal to a mixed customer base as there were families, mums meeting or coffee and the 'more mature' crowd having lunches.
Very nice visit :o)

We went here for a two year olds birthday party and we're really impressed. There was plenty of room for the children to run around and play, an excellent adventure area for older children and lots of toys for the littlies to play with. There were farm animals that the children could go and see. Brilliant facilities. There was also a lovely shop and cafe area there too although we didn't get chance to test these out.
As it was a birthday party there was access to a kitchen area that was lovely and clean and spacious enough to have a table of food.
Would certainly reccommend it!
