Has kids climbing frame and animals so kids entertained.
Roads are empty so great for wandering about.
Had everything we needed and a place where we could really relax.

warm friendly welcome both human and canine! fell in love with the place on first sight. I thought our village was rural but this farm was in the middle of nowhere. There was nothing for miles except forest and heather. The weather was quite cold and wet but the cottage was snug and warm. It was well supplied with equipment. would love to visit again when we can stay longer.

What a gem!
Easy booking and admin, friendly chilled owners who were both welcoming and helpful. Lovely peaceful location but within an easy drive of Scarborough and Whitby and great for walking, biking or family getaways. Our young children loved it because it was spacious, self contained and had a great adventure play area, farm animals and bbq area. All possible facilities were provided and house was clean and well maintained throughout. Thanks for a great break and best of all- it can be booked for short breaks even in the summertime

The cottage was everything we needed for our short break, very clean and comfortable with everything you need. The children loved the playground and all the animals and they did not want to come home. Peaceful and the scenery beautiful, highly recommend.

We could not fault Hardwick House - Bickley Cottage or it's owners. We were greeted by the owner who was pleasant and friendly and showed us around. The cottage was impeccable, decor and cleanliness you could not fault, it was fully equipped with everything we needed, and if you did need something else, the owners were very helpful. My partner and I took our two children, who adored the place, very child friendly, and felt comfortable to let them play out and wander the yard and play area, it felt like home from home and it is very family orientated. You do need a car to travel, but the surrounding area is full of things to do and shops etc are just a few minutes away. The views are amazing and the place is so relaxing, I was sad that we had to leave, we have and we will recommend the place to family, friends and anyone else that is wanting a chilled, peaceful place to stay and will definately be booking up again in the future.

There was not one thing we could fault. The cottage was cosy, warm and comfortable in beautiful surroundings. All furniture, linen, cutlery and crockery were good quality. Every conceivable item was there. I took far too much with us because I wasn't expecting washing up liquid, cleaning materials, toilet roll etc to be provided. The hosts were helpful and pleasant and their dogs and cat friendly.

There are many places of interest just a short drive away and plenty of places to have a pub lunch.

We will definitely visit the cottage again.
