Have not visited Scarborough in a long time and chose this hotel from a website, so a bit nervous if it would be all right or not. It was exceptionally clean, nicely furnished and with pleasant , helpful staff. Breakfasts were lovely and the staff remembered little details for the next morning (glass of milk for my son and a lollilop on the last morning!) The only slight moan would be the size of the family room - it could have been a bit bigger (and sea view would have been nice) but really overall we were very happy with the standards and quality provided. I would definitely go again - especially as we were issued with a credit note for our next stay (due to unforeseen circumstances our trip had been delayed and we missed the first 2 nights. The hotel have offered us 2 free nights if we book again, so couldn't really have asked for more. Very clever of them I thought!). Was really pleasantly surprised with the area too - we had some lovely days in nearby Whitby and Bridlington too. The hotel is very convenient for resorts up and down the Yorkshire coast.

Many thanks for a super short break in a beautifully appointed small, personally managed hotel. We were well looked after from reception to departure by happy staff.
We'll be back later in the year.

The service here is very friendly though we had to wait on the doorstep for 5 minutes for someone to answer the bell at 3 p.m! He also said to come down and ring the bell and he would serve us a free drink but again we came down to the lounge and rang the bell but no-one came.
We have had three sea view rooms on the three occasions we have stayed here - this one was the smallest but perfectly OK although it would be a bit of a struggle to get round the end of the bed if you were large framed as the bed was in the French "lit bateau" style with a large footboard. The rooms are all very clean and are promptly made up each morning and free bottles of water are provided daily.
The dining room does excellent breakfasts, but is rather cramped with too many tables which makes getting to the cereal counter a bit tricky. We have never seen all the tables occupied so I'm sure the table nearest to the cereal counter could be removed. Even the staff commented to us on what a squeeze it was. You would have thought one of them would have suggested it to the management.
These are only quibbles though - when I have heard and read of people's experiences in other Scarborough hotels this one is in a class of its own.
It is also very good value for money.
We will definately be returning
The location is excellent and the views lovely

Great room with an excellent view and the breakfast was as good I remember. The hotel provided a travel cot (which helped us when packing) and the staff were very friendly towards our 15 month old daughter. Really good finish in the room and top drawer digital TV.

I had one night stay here- initially booking purely on price- but would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice location and lovely rooms.
There is free parking outside the hotel from 5.00pm each day and it is opposite the park and a path down to the sea

It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the harbour.

The room I had was at the back, well furnished, well stocked tea tray incl bottled water and the breakfast was good

Stay here if you want something a bit more upmarket!

very good clean and tidy. nice welcome on arrival. easy to find and parking on the street was not a problem. i got a 3 nights for 2 deal that was good value for money but think the nightly rate was overpriced. good location for getting out and about.

We enjoyed our stay, our room was beautiful with gorgeous sea views of the bay.

I think that elderly clients should be warned of the lack of a lift. Our room was situated on the top floor and because of this we did struggle.

Breakfast was very nice if a little on the sparse side. We asked for hash browns with our meal with tomato but was only given 1 hash brown and only 1 half of tomato.
