The hotel was ok. Adequate. Even though there where somethings that I disliked, the soap in both of are rooms had not been changed from the people before and we were assigned tables for morning breakfast by a sheet on the door which I didn't feel was the most friendly way of a greeting.

Please accept my apologies that your soap had not been changed.
The list on the restaurant door is a guide to your table number, but we always have staff on hand for that personal touch.

Never been to this hotel before, I went with my husband, daughter and son, we had two twin front rooms, which was modern, clean with lovely views of the castle, sea and park, large bathroom. We were welcomed by Geoff very welcoming as all of the staff in the two nights we stayed. Breakfast was very good even better than a 5 star we have stayed, we drank in the hotel bar and the prices was reasonable, the young people at breakfast was polite and very quick, and was nice to see they were local people serving on,hotel on the north side so you have to walk a lot but the taxis in scarborough are plenty and cheap. Can't wait to return, won't go anywhere else in scarborough now

We stayed here in July 2013 for 2 nights for a family party. Our ages ranged from 6 months to 80 years old and all of us loved every minute of it!
The staff were friendly, welcoming and couldn't do enough for us all.
Adam the barman was especially lovely and took a few of our party out into Scarborough on the Friday evening to show us the sights and the pubs! Alison was also extremely nice and so helpful!!

The only downside was that the rooms get very hot in warm weather, only one window opened so it got a bit stuffy!

I will be staying here again next time I am visiting family in then area, definitely recommend it!

Room Tip: The front facing rooms have a sea view - we were in room number 9 and it was slightly bigger than ot...

Thank you for your delightful review, we look forward to your next visit.

With regard to the recent heatwave experienced throughout the country, it is needless to say that a large proportion of the population have found the heat considerably unbearable. We can provide fans for the bedrooms, which may give a slight relief.

My Grandaughter and i like to have (we call them our adventures) little trips away now and then

to try different places, stayed at park manor 19th to 21st July. we found it to be very welcoming relaxed atmosphere, food was delicious, room was quite small but am sure if we had asked they would have given us a room move as the staff were very helpful throughout. We did use the pool VERY NICE! Overall found Park Manor very clean, friendly lovely surroundings inside and out, plus quite easy access to beach and the gorgeous park. will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Maybe make sure your room is one of the larger ones.

Alison,on reception made this stay great for us, she cannot be more helpful. I loved the fact the swimming pool and jacuzzi with steam room were there. For our two nights stay we picked a good place, central for visiting Scarborough and outlying villages. Hotel is clean and though we never ate in the restaurant other guests were full of praise. Thanks again Alison.

Booked this hotel as we were going to the Leona Lewis Concert which was 5 minute walk down the road. On arrival all OK and we got to the room which was at the back of the property very small for the price we had paid. We decided to go down stairs for a drink and we were served more or less straight away as there was someone on the bar after that it was a strain to have to go and get someone to serve us. Eddie on reception well its a good job he is leaving as he is not the most happiest chappy in his job.We decided to get a toastie each to keep us going until later and we ordered it and went to the bar to get another drink with the snack yet again nobody on the bar so went to see Eddie and he said I get them for you caus the lad who is on the bar is making your toasties EH? Is he a chef as well as a waiter well I thought dred to think what it will be like at evening meal so then we sussed out there were only 2 people running the hotel Eddie and the young lad this is no way to run a hotel backwards and forth and the hotel was full. The toastie was very nice and we went upstairs to get changed to go out to the concert. My partner went to the bar again to get drinks and yet again nobody there so he asked Eddie if he could get a drink and he was not really amused a guess with a big sigh from Eddie he was just coming through and the phone rang so he said wait the phones ringing so back he went to reception and we and left my partner again to hang around for a drink . What is this all about running a hotel on a shoestring I would say and it is not cheap either. We got drinks and left for the concert and returned around 11 and the bar was still open and yes there was Eddie not a happy chappie well I would not be if I had to work the shifts he was working. Wanted to sit outside as it was a warm nioght no table and chairs they were all in so we sat on a bench I asked for an ashtray as there was none and was told use the big white one outside where is it I could not find it at all we got an ashtray eventually and we sat with a nice couple from Leeds and had a laugh with them and the bar was shut at 11.55 prompt. Eddie came out to say he was leaving the job to be a driving Instuctor very soon. Sllep time so we went to bed the room was small but clean wood chip wallpaper on the walls shabby wardrobes and carpet in the bathroom just awful the windows had nice curtains and one had a blind but the other did not this was a problem at 430 in the morning as the sun rose so did we as the curtains let the light in so we were awake by 5 and the bed was not overly comfy. We got up and left at 830 passing Eddie on the way out to give the key no good morning no smaile it was like he was glad to get rid less people the better we decided not to have breakfast could not do with the hassle again of staff possibly running around but the people we met said it was good. Well for the price we paid I wish I had booked the Premier Inn as it was not worth the money at all it has a lack of atmoshere no music in the bar silence apart from if people are in the spa which is next door to the bar then you just get splashing around noises and the smell of the clorine is in the bar too. This place is like faulty towers but not funny at all not enough staff and lack of smiles will not return at all.

Room Tip: the only reason we stayed here was it was near the open air concert venue would have stayed south si...

My partner and I booked a last minute room via laterooms.com. Upon arrival we were given the option to upgrade to the Suite for an additional £20, and it was well worth the little bit extra.

Unfortunately we werent there long enough to try out the spa and pool.

Very clean. Friendly / helpful staff. Can't be faulted. Thank you! See you again soon.
