The hotel wasn't great. Room was small but adequate, could hear people very clearly in the other rooms and we were the room at the top. shower cubicle was tiny with water running scalding to freezing without changing the settings! The bed was one of those ones that splits in half in the middle width ways and the two sections are normally kept together with metal hook things. There was one missing so the bed came apart in the middle! Mattress was uncomfortable. Room was clean but very dated. Clean bedding and towels, room was warm. Was shown around upon checking in after the owner helped my boyfriend find a place to park the van on the roadside (the car park only accommodates a few cars) We got ready for our night out and the owner called us a taxi. I think check out was 10.00am which I think is far too early - it's normally around 11.00. Anyway we came in very late (we were given a key to come in when we wanted to) I slept through my 09.30 alarm and didn't get up until 10.30am. I was getting ready and heard the owner bray on the bedroom door and shouted ''check out was ages ago hurry up!!!'' I shouted back that we were nearly ready. I didn't like that he didn't attempt to speak to us civilised first rather than shouting like that. We finally made it downstairs at 11.00. I apologised to the lady for leaving the room late and explained we had got back around 5am. She took one look at the state of me and said you can't leave yet I'll make you a tea go make yourself comfy in the lounge. She very kindly brought a pot of tea and a pot of coffee free of charge to try and sort us out before we left. She was a very kind lady and I was very grateful for her hospitality. We took our time in the lounge and left just before 12.00. Pleasant enough stay for the cost but I think I would have rather spent an extra tenner on a much nicer hotel!

We stopped here after running the Great North Run so we really were hoping for a nice hot shower and a comfy bed. We were not disappointed. Breakfast was great with a great choice of cereals and a lovely cooked full English breakfast and toast with jam. The owner was full of local knowledge and pointed us in the directions of various good restaurants depending on what we wanted. After checking out, we were allowed to keep our car on the drive until we left Scarborough. A very kind gesture which meant a lot to us. We will definitely go back and will recommend this establishment to our friends.

Stayed here 1 night , location about 15 mins walk to town, got checked in early which was good . Host was nice . Only 4 parking spaces . Bedroom was small but had what we needed. Every time you turned over in bed it squeaked and was very uncomfortable . Pillows were flat and horrible. Would not stay here again as I think overpriced and did not include breakfast .

The important things were right in this hotel. Helpful managers, clean room, comfortable bed and a good breakfast.
My room and my travelling companion's rooms on 2nd floor were small but adequate. The temperature was comfortable on one of the not so warm nights in August.

Other less than perfect things such as stained carpet on the stairs are not important to me.
Car parking was hard.mthe street was full and the parking in front of the hotel very difficult but our host very helpful and attentive with this. However our departure was later than we had hoped due to another guest's car blocking our car.

We consisted of two adults one six year old and one baby. The room, checking on TripAdvisor first, appeared to be small in photos but when we got there it was perfect.
We had A double bed with a single bunk on top and the cot at the foot of our bed.
The decor was minimilist but cosy. The bathroom was a small wet room plenty of towels on hand and enough room to move about.
The hotel was quiet and although we could hear noise outside it wasn't annoying and we slept right through.
The owners where lovely warm and welcoming and made a little fuss over the kids who appreciated it.
Breakfast was lovely not too greasy, good portions and fresh. Even had a mini cooked breakfast for the kids.
This place was everything you exepect from a b&b minus the net curtains and floral setee's. (Some would say a bonus)
I would say too small for a long stay but perfect for a short stay. Highly reccomended.

We booked this hotel when attending a concert at the open-air theatre. We had two single rooms which were clean, comfortable and well decorated. Iron, ironing board and I-pod docking were an unexpected bonus.
We received a warm, greeting and the owners couldn't have been more helpful or friendly.
Breakfast was good, well cooked and presented.
The bathroom although not up to the standard of the room was perfectly acceptable although a bath towel would have been nice!
Overall a very pleasant stay, good value for money and would happily stay again or recommend.

Booked online after reading reviews expected average hotel, when we pulled up I could have just turned away. Surrounding BBs clean looking this one stood out for all the wrong reasons looked dirty! A strange couple answered the door not at all clean looking, stated online there was a bar well what a joke the bar was tins of larger/guiness at £2 a tin out of there fridge !!
Rooms mega overpriced and no breakfast inc in the price , hotels on the same road, and hotels with seaviews were cheaper with a breakfast included ! Room average as in decore old fashioned duvet covers that old the poppers all broke and some staining on my childs duvet cover towels tiny and carpet curtains would all do with replacing! Altho this is no fault of the hotel our room was noisy as hell we had a communal toilet on the landing next to our ensuite which was used at all times in the night loudly! guest lounge below noisy and noisy as hell outside with all sorts of noise at all sorts of tine in the night( room 2) all in all crap for the money please spend your hard earned cash at a better hotel ! We took my dad who had a single room the size of a box and overlooking the back yard and a wall nice ! you have been warned !

Room Tip: good road to stay on for all amenties but not this hotel loads better ones on this road
