Very friendly efficient check-in. Very spacious room on third floor, with one double and one single bed. The bed was very comfortable. The decor in the room was OK, but there was peeling wallpaper around the radiator and it was only single glazed. However it was clean and very typical of this style of hotel - ie, Victorian terraced houses converted for hotel use. Good view of the sea - great to see the sun coming up over the sea in the morning. Very quiet, with no noise from outside or other rooms.
On-street parking a little off-putting, we didn’t feel we wanted to use the car for fear that we’d lose our parking spot. But the hotel provided a parking permit for duration of stay.
Spacious, lounge with relaxed atmosphere. Nice place to catch-up with friends. Breakfast was as other reviewers have mentioned. Nice ingredients and good, cook to order service.
Although free WiFi was on offer, it certainly wasn’t available in our room, but others found it OK in rooms that must have been closer to the router.
All in all a very nice three star hotel.More
