“Happy Easter”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2009

We stayed at The Crescent for two nights over Easter. Very pleased. Room was clean, breakfast was fantastic, staff couldn't do enough to please. Would definitely recommend. The 'piece de resistance' - an Easter Egg each for the children outside our room on Easter morning - what a lovely thought!

We discovered the Crescent in 1984 and regularly used it as our base for doing "The Lyke Wake Walk". We stopped doing that walk because of age etc but in March decided on another venture up onto the Moors.
We finished the walk and retired to Scarborough late afternoon for a hot bath, meal and comfortable nights sleep.
The staff and proprietor, while having changed since our last trip, were as friendly and accommodating as ever.
Excellent value with paricularly good restaurant service (and the food, of course!) and extremely well placed for visiting Scarborough and the surrounding countryside.
Very well recommended!!

This gem of a family run hotel should be high on the list of places to stay at for anyone visiting the north east on either business or leisure. The staff are the most efficient and friendly I have come across in many years, and the hosts (Paul and Lindsay) make every effort to make it a home from home. The food is excellent, and the bar well stocked, and Paul keeps a very good pint of bitter on the hand pump. Rooms are well equipped and comfortable, so much so, we stayed an extra night. Situated in the heart of the town, but in a very quiet crescent and park, everything is close to hand, but it's also nice and quiet. This was our first, but certainly not our last visit.
