Our 5 day stay at the Crescent was excellent. We could have chosen cheaper but certainly could not have chosen any better. The staff are friendly and very helpful, the rooms are comfortable and very clean. Location is hard to beat being so close to the shops, station and sea front. Should another holiday in Scarborough be arranged I wouldn't hesitate in going back to the Crescent.

Stayed at the beginning of June, and had a really lovely stay. Hotel isn't flashy, but is very clean and comfortable. We had a huge room at the front to accomodate our 2 children staying with us, with lovely views and a huge bathroom. The staff were very understanding and clearly enjoyed making their guests feel welcome and like nothing was too much trouble. We ate both nights in the hotel for convenience, and the food was of a high quality. They use local ingredients and were quite happy to alter any of the dishes to suit. The food and drink was also very good value which isn't always the case in smaller hotels.

All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting good old fashioned service and quality.

Comfortable hotel with very friendly staff. Were always happy to chat a little. Accommodation excellent. Large airy bedroom and high standard ensuite. Staff very considerate of my health problems. Well situated within town for transport and shopping and a short walk to beach.

Having stayed at The Crescent Hotel twice now we again found the hotel excellent value and the staff as usual most friendly and curteous. The Reflections Restaurant was great value and the food sumptious, we ate there on the three nights we stayed. We will have no hesitation in staying there again.

We stayed 5 nights in the Londesborough room which was fabulous. Huge light, airy room with sitting area and massive en-suite with bath and separate shower. The bed was very comfortable, but we were disappointed to find that it was only a double, even though there was plenty of room for a king-size or larger. The building dates from about 1830 and has been beautifully restored with period features and large sash windows. There was also tea/coffee, hairdrier an iron and free WiFi provided in the room.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, offering advice about places to eat. parking etc. There was parking outside and along the crescent which is free from 6pm to 9am, but the hotel also offers cards which permit parking from 9am to 1.30pm the following day for £4 - considerably cheaper than using the Pay & Display machines.
The hotel has a restaurant which we used for breakfasts, which were excellent, but we didn't try it for dinner, as there are plenty of places to eat in town. There's also a carvery open at weekends, and a bar.
The location was very convenient, as it is only a 5 minute walk in one direction to all the main shops and in the other direction to the seafront and Rotunda museum, although you can't actually see the sea from the room as there is a small park opposite.
