Stayed at the Ryndle Court Hotel for one night. I have stayed in 3 or 4 hotels along the same road as the Ryndle and must say that this hotel is the best of them all. There is a nice welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk into the hotel. The staff were friendly and genuine. My room was through the breakfast room and bar, and was suprisingly large and well appointed. The en-suite was large, bright and most important clean! The room was spacious and had all of the facilities I required.

The best thing for me was the extra touches. There was ample tea and coffee (with extra in baskets in the hall if you ran out) as well as bottled water. There was also free use of bath robes (not to keep of course) which was a nice touch as well as free slippers (you could keep these - well I think you could...!!) again, something you don't see that often. The bar was large and there was a falt screen TV in the dining area which on a night was great to watch with a drink.

The only thing I would changs is the windows. My room was single glazed and a rogue seagull decided to screech all morning from 6.30, I think double glazing would have improved the noise level of this.

I very much enjoyed my stay and would book again.

As a passer by, casually dropping in I had previously seen the excellent work which had been put into combining this hotel with the one next door paving the way for a good choice of rooms to suit everyone from the lone traveller to families.
Position: A lot of rooms face the top end of Peasholm Park which is very pleasant. The park offering a miniature golf course facing the hotel , with entrance to the park and boating lake . The road down Northstead Manor Drive with an offside road leading to the swimming pool , leads down to the beach, shops , and the magnificent new open air theatre;continueing along the promenade to the Sea LIfe centre and amusements . All this area has been vastly improved, I was particularly impressed by the vastness of the open air theatre !
During the summer months the service bus runs along North Marine Drive between the bays [ an excellent priced ticket ," free with pass" for senior citizns, which was a welcome surprise! ]

First impression of the hotel : Well presented from the exterior occupying an excellent position . The proprietors have a very welcoming attitude.
Rooms: Furnished to a high standard, the beds we had were comfortable with good quality draperies, bed linen and towels .
Dining: A hearty choice of full Englsh breakfast plus continental options .
The optional evening meals , which we took were plentiful . The soups were home made, choice of main courses very varied as well as specials of the day followed by a good choices of desserts as well as specials.
In other words the food was very satisfying !
The waitresses were very pleasant and effecient .
All in all we had a satisfying stay and definitely will be returning to the Ryndlecourt Hotel when an opportunity arises and have already passed recommendations on to friends .

I chose the hotel purely from the pictures and reviews that i had read. I was not disappointed. The proprietors, Peter and Toni, were welcoming and warm. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and fresh and well furnished. The food was excellent. A 4 star hotel posing as a 2 star.

We stayed here for two nights to attend a family funeral in March. The service was very friendly and professional. A very nice room with everything clean and with a fresh feel. The en suite was a little cramped perhaps but spotless and well appointed. We had two breakfast which were excellent but did not have an evening meal although they do provide one if requested. My only real criticism would be the car parking is restricted. We found only 6 spaces in total and I suspect when the hotel is full this may not be ideal although the area is quiet and mainly residential so on street parking nearby is probably good. We enjoyed our stay here and will certainly use this hotel the next time we have to travel to Scarborough.

Although I have actually stopped here on several previous occasions I will definitely not do so again. Only 2 rooms were taken on a freezing cold night but we were given one which resembled the inside of a refrigerator. The hotel does not have double-glazing and the heating which went off at 10pm and came back on at 8am is totally inadequate. The room furniture was old, the bathroom furniture older and the tv came out of the ark. It was a knackered old manually-operated set, the picture of which started as a 2-inch horizontal strip and progressed to a 10-inch strip! Breakfast was swimming in grease and the single sausage which it contained was a 'value-pack' special which was dire.
There is no way that I would recommend this hotel to anyone as it is overpriced and simply poor.
