It was our second visit. Highly recommend. Ideal location for stopping in Scarborough or using as a base for exploring the area.

From the moment you walk through the lounge door to be greeted by the expansive and beautiful view of the harbour and the South Bay, to the moment you drop the latch on your departure you are guaranteed a superbly comfortable and relaxing time in this well-appointed and excellently furnished 1st floor flat.
Comfortable beds,a modern shower and a large fridge-freezer are just some of the many facilities available. Nothing has been overlooked. On the occasions I have stayed here, a visitor's parking permit has enabled me to park within yards of the front door.
If you venture out, the Castle and St Mary's Church, burial place of Anne Bronte, are practically on the doorstep. A great local pub, The Leeds Arms, is minutes walk away down through the old town. Although, it may take longer on the return journey back up the hill!
I have caught mackerel in the harbour and had them for breakfast less than an hour later whilst enjoying the magnificent view from the lounge window.
Although I admit to some bias as a true Yorkshireman, it's impossible not to enjoy yourself here wherever you come from.

“A luxurious and comfortable apartment with beautiful views.”

This was our third visit to the apartment, which in itself shows how much we like it! The owners have gone to considerable efforts to ensure that it is clean and comfortable. It is furnished and equipped to a high standard and very pleasant to sit in to read or watch television. But the main attraction for us has always been the glorious views over Scarborough's South Bay from the huge sash windows. Even in poor weather we never tire of looking out over the town and the sea. During our recent stay the weather was mixed - but not unusual for February on the East Coast! - but even on the coldest day the apartment was warm and cosy thanks to an efficient central heating system.

The apartment is convenient for all the main attractions in Scarborough and we particularly enjoy the walk down to North Bay then round the headland to South Bay. On this visit we were lucky enough to see porpoises and seals as we walked round Marine Drive. Scarborough Castle, just up the hill from the apartment, is well worth a visit..

There are nice places to eat a short walk from the apartment, including CoGonis Italian restaurant which is good but perhaps rather expensive. We had an excellent take-away meal from the Kam Sang Chinese restaurant. For shopping there is a Tesco Express five minutes walk away.

Because Castle Road is on a steep hill and the apartment is on the first floor of the building it might not be suitable for those with mobility problems.
