We would have liked a larger bed, where my husbands feet didn't hang over the edge (he is only 5'10") and a firmer mattress. Other wise a perfect stay. Thank you.

Myself and my husband recently stayed in the Selomar Hotel with our baby boy and other members of the family. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience, the breakfast was excellent, rooms were clean and comfortable, staff were very attentive. Ken who ran the bar at night was an excellent host catering for all age groups, the bar was always well stocked and was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our experience so much that we stayed for an extra night. Will definetly return.

My wife and i stayed here with two friends of ours and we all had the best weekend ever in Scarborough. Irene made us feel at home as soon as we arrived and we were more than pleased with our rooms, probably the cleanest bedroom and best shower ive had in the town. The location is spot on for all attractions and great pubs nearby. Ken was an excellent host behind the bar for a late drink and the friendly atmosphere created in the bar made for everyone to chat and have a laugh. The breakfast wasmore than ample with a good choice of food on offer. This is definately one hotel we will be returning to.

Room Tip: We had room 4 which had an amazing sea view.

we were given a very warm welcome by irene and ken the owners .we were shown to our rooms which were spotless and tastlfully decorated.breakfast was full english but if that did not suit there menu on offer .the waiterss was more than helpful.at night we spent a few hours in the bar which was well stocked with a good variety of beer and spirits .ken played music to suit all tastes and had a good all round knowledge of local history and places to visit with a few humourous stories thrown in.
we were only booked in for two nights and ended up staying three

Room Tip: if its a seaview you want the front of the hotel

From the moment of arriving to leaving Irene and Ken and all staff were the most frendlist people i have had the pleasure to stay with, they even took a hour out of there time at night to chat in the bar The rooms are great with breath taking views over the bay and castle breakfast was top class. If you read this review do try the hotel i will promise you will not be disappointed i look forward to return in the summer.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights with our 2 young boys, ages 3 and 1. Room was lovely, clean, modern and spacious with fantastic sea views over the North bay and the castle. Excellent central location for both the North bay attractions, the town centre and the south bay.
We have stayed in quite a lot of the many B&B's and hotels in this area over the last few years, and would have to say that for friendliness, service and quality of accommodation, this is the best we have experienced.
Although there is no car park at the hotel, we paid less than a quid for 2 days parking permit, and never had any trouble parking directly outside the hotel in the designated areas during our stay, despite it being a busy half term holiday week.
We would definately recommend this hotel to anyone, and will definately be visiting again. Irene and Ken were fantastic hosts and made ourselves and all the other guests very welcome and made our stay very enjoyable.
