I stayed for two nights in a double (single occupancy). I was upgraded to a four-poster room (room 5) as one was available but was shown the room I'd booked too (room 1) which looked similar standard.
The hotel is in a quiet cliff-top location but with easy access to both bays.
Ian and Mauna are welcoming, accommodating and friendly but without being intrusive (normally I avoid B&Bs as can be over-personal but not here). They are new to the business but you would think they had being doing it for years as the attention to detail is spot on. They were quite relaxed about check-out time too as no-one was coming into the room, which was a bonus.
The room was well-equiped with tea, coffee, water and complementary toiletries. The communal areas are welcoming and spacious with great views.
The breakfast was amazing; so much choice both hot and cold, good ingredients and generous portions.
This would be my first choice if staying in Scarborough again.More
