“Great base for Scarborough beach holiday”
Reviewed 12 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

This was the 3rd time we have stayed at the cottage which is situated in a great place behind the south bay amusements, in a quiet street. The owner provides car park passes and as in other reviews once we had parked up we didnt really need the car untill home time.
The house is handy for Anne Bronte's grave at St Marys church, the pier, amusements and most importantly the "Harbour bar" for the worlds best ice cream (ask for a tub to put in the lighthouse cottage freezer!
The house is very well equipped with all you need, and its layout is a real interesting plus if your used to a more modern house, with winding stairs and multiple levels.
We also hire a beach hut in the North bay and have a mainly beach holiday but the house is great for walkers and beachers (we are both). dont hesitate get it booked!!!

“Large comfortable house”
Reviewed 4 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Second stay here ,lovely spacious house ,5 minutes to South Bay and 10 minutes approx into town centre ,so ideal spot to stay weather could have been better the spring bank holiday week ,cold wet and windy but the house is lovely warm and cosy with plenty of space to spread out in . I just love the kitchen and dining room on the lower ground floor . Fantastic views of the harbour from all back windows especially the crows nest .

“Lovely house in a perfect location”
Reviewed 16 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We stayed here over the Mayday Bank Holiday weekend. The house is perfectly located between the castle and the harbour. Once you've parked the car, you won't need it for the rest of your stay.

The house is situated over 4 levels. An amazing kitchen and dining room in the basement that opens on to a courtyard garden - which is a great sun trap. 2 living rooms on the ground floor. 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the 1st floor and another bedroom (with amazing views) and bathroom (with amazing bath) on the top floor. The house is very nicely furnished and well equipped should the weather set in - luckily it was nice and sunny when we were there.

The stairs are a bit steep but the great views are well worth it. You could sleep several kids up out of the way on the top floor. There is a double bed + a single bed + extra mattresses under the beds. Couple that with the twin living room and parents can enjoy some space here.

Just a 2 minute walk down the hill and you're on the seafront. It was very lively with families which was very nice to see in an English seaside town. Plenty for kids to do with the arcades, donkeys, ice creams and fairground rides. The house would be just as suitable for grown ups though as it's in a nice quiet area.

All in all, a great stay and we will definately be using the house again in the future.

P.S. If you get a chance to visit the castle, it is well worth it. Just 2 minutes up the hill and the views are incredible.
