Booked a table on-line for Sunday lunch without having read any reviews as we were visiting family who live in the area.
Very impressed with everything - the service was courteous and timely, staff were friendly and approachable. The area of the restaurant we were sat in was quiet and we wondered why they weren't very busy, but when we left, we realised that there were actually many customers - a large party dining to an area at the front of the building.
The food was absolutely A M A Z I N G. Clearly they have some top people preparing the food here. This wasn't just a "roast dinner", it was beautifully presented with all the trimmings and very flavoursome. Fresh vegetables prepared to perfection and tasty, a beautiful parsnip puree.... even the apple sauce had been seasoned (tarragon?)
Surprisingly not too expensive either - main courses were between £9 and £16 roughly, which given the standard of the food was an added bonus.
Plenty of parking, loos were very clean and modern and all in all, a fantastic find! I am sure we will be back again in the future!
