Had a lovely 2 nights here in March. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a really nice room with a roof terrace, coffee maker and two comfy armchairs. Bed was massive and very comfortable.
All the staff were very friendly and welcoming both at reception and in the bar and restaurant.
We ate at the hotel the first night of our stay and the food was good. The only downside was that the drinks were rather expensive (£24 for a not very good Rioja and £1.90 for a very small bottle of tonic water!)
The one thing to note is that the hotel is very isolated and nothing is within walking distance so you are somewhat dependent on driving everywhere.
We ate in Newbury town centre (about 15 minute drive from hotel) on our second night where there is a multitude of bars and restaurants to choose from.
All in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return here again.
