Very friendly staff, pleasant enough inside and decent beer. Just lacks a little bit of character but is gradually being improved by the current owners.

Just had a wonderful meal with friends, all 6 of us had something different from the Evening Menu or the hard to miss daily specials board (I had the Red Thai Chicken Curry) and the food all turned up together, piping hot and all the plates were left empty. Will definitely be going back very soon.

We had several meals at The Gun and they were dreadful. Although we liked the pub we could not eat there. But a new couple, Clive and Margaret who have been successful publicans in the local area have taken over, and what a difference!
Margaret does the cooking and the food is really good, fresh and plentiful. We ate there last week and thoroughly enjoyed it.
So - if you have been disappointed in the past - give it another try. You will be pleasantly surprised.
