“Tip Top”

Having just stayed for 5 days, on another cycling / touring holiday, Andy and Sue made me feel very welcome from the minute you enter their guest house. Their warm hospitality was excellent, breakfast was tip top, extra tea, coffee and toast were always offered. The room and en-suite was very clean, towels were changed whenever requested. The storing of my bicycle was no hassle and always had the freedom of storing my bicycle and retrieving it whenever I wanted. I stayed in Room 7 which is a double room, it had plenty of space, light and lots of storage, also, the en-suite has plenty of space.

Room Tip: I always stay in Double Rooms, as I like sleeping in a double bed, and like lots of space in the roo...

From the moment we arrived (attractive front garden) to the moment we left (luggage carried for us to the car) we were treated like honoured guests, There is indeed a red carpet in the hall and stairways. Our room (number 5) overlooked both a side street and the rear car park, was of a good size and smartly furnished with ample hanging and drawer space. Coffee/tea making facilities included fresh milk from a landing refrigerator and the wonderful home made biscuits mentioned in previous reviews. The en-suite had an effective power shower, very welcome after a day's walking. The rear car park had easy access from the side road and was roomy. The quality breakfasts offered a good choice, especially of fresh fruit and homemade yoghurt, while the cooked options included local fresh ingredients and the bread was homemade. A special mention must be made of the wortleberry jam for toast.
In addition the location was ideal being 5 minutes from the main Avenue housing shops, cafes and restaurants, two minutes form the sea and steam railway station, convenient for bus stops and a ten minute walk to the harbour. Ideal for serious walkers and tourists alike

Room Tip: Room 5 a double was very good but there is also a king size option

Stayed for numerous of wks with work m8s. Look no further best b&b yet, and as a contractor I've been to many. The host's Andy and Sue were one of kind, they made u feel at home and always served with a smile on their face. The Beds were really comfy and the rooms we're immaculate after a days works there was always a cold bottle of water waiting for u and some of the best homemade biscuits I ever tasted. The towels were replaced daily. The breakfast was a bonus I had a choice of fresh fruit salad or Andy's full English to set me up for the day. I would definitely return again.

This is a superb b&b. Andy and Sue are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble, the room was immaculatly clean with a large en suite and the breakfast was first class. We will definitely be staying here again. great touches like home made shortbread, freshly baked home made bread, yoghurt and muesli make this b&b stand out from the rest.
Beds are so comfortable, better than being at home. Thanks for a great week. Rob & Zoe.

Myself and work mates stayed at the Tregonwell for a few weeks while working in the area. Staying at the Tregonwell was a pleasure from the time we walked through the door till the time we left. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and there are nice small touches like bottles of ice cold water in the room when we returned from work, and some lovely homemade cookies. The breakfast is by far the best we've had on our travels, (and we travel alot!) Home made museli and yohgurt to die for. I can't speak highly enough about the reception we recieved from Andy and Sue. I would deffinately return given the chance.

This is an excellent accommodation for B & B. Hosts Andy & Sue were most welcoming, always
with a smile and a laugh. Felt at home, breakfasts were generous in portions, no cutting corners here. Will definitely visit Tregonwell House again in the future, always assuming Andy & Sue
are the hosts.

We stayed at Tregonwell House for 2 nights and received a warm welcome from Andy & Sue when we arrived. The room was beautiful and the bathroom better than most hotels. Nice touches such as home made shortbread in the room and water and fresh milk available for our morning tea. Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay, not the usual cheap ingredients, sausages to die for and Sues home made bread and muesli.
When we checked out the reviews before we booked we thought it sounded too good to be true but it really is that good.
Thanks Sue and Andy fore a brilliant stay.....................Everyones Happy!!!!!

Room Tip: Go for room 4, it's spacious and moden.
