We first came to Burrowhayes 38 years ago and fell in love with it. We made a few more visits while the children were little, and it became a firm favourite with our extended family. This summer we came back as part of a huge family reunion, about 25 of us, three generations, some in tents and some in caravans, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. The children were able to run around, ride their bikes, go for pony rides, play in the river and make new friends. This time round we opted to stay in one of the static caravans and were really impressed. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bathroom had a lovely hot shower and the bed was comfy. A big thank you to Julian and his team, who did everything they could to make our stay perfect. Oh, and the cream teas just up the road were to die for!

We stayed at Burrowhayes Farm about 7 years running as children, and loved it. It's changed over the years, has electricity, running water, a loo and a shower in the static caravans now, and electricity for the touring caravans, but other than a few mod-cons, it has retained its charm and all the character and beauty of Exmoor.
There is a small but well supplied shop, excellent communal shower/loo/laundry facilities, and stables where you can hire a horse. The staff and friendly and helpful, and the owner greets everyone personally on arrival.
Situated on Exmoor, it is the perfect spot for hill walking, and is close to some lovely beaches.

Second time at Burrowhayes and again, not disappointed. Friendly staff, great location, good value for money, excellent shower/toilet facilities and lovely clean statics for those wanting that extra bit of comfort. Burrowhayes has set the bar high, so I am guessing it will be a hard act to follow.

Ideal camp site for family holiday. Very friendly and helpful staff, close to everything... beaches, entertainment, shops, walking areas. They do fresh bread every day, well worth it. Amenities are clean all day round, enough space for everyone. Thproughly recommended.

We came across this fantastic little campsite by luck as we hadn't pre booked a pitch. We were made very welcome and given a choice of available pitches for our small two man tent. £15 a night for the tent I thought was fantastic as the owners take great pride in their well kept facilities. Small shop on site too which was very handy. Will definitely stay again in the future.
