Thanku so much for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage.
It is very spacious, has everything you need including logs for the open fires.
We really enjoyed staying here & would highly recommend it!
Many many Thanks

“Ideal getaway from it all”

Location is beautiful, surrounded by deep wooded valleys and only a few miles from the coast. Cottage is well-equipped and bigger than it looks with a lovely little sun-trap patio garden at the back. Not far to Minehead for shops and pubs, shame that the local pub has shut but the locals say that it is going to re-open in the not too distant future. We very much enjoyed our stay and could happily have stayed longer.

“Cosy, spacious, everything you need, lovely”
Reviewed 28 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Even had comfortable beds! Always a bonus and never an expectation!
A lovely home from home. Would definitely recommend! The wood burner was great, having never had the pleasure of on before, when it got a little chilly at night, was great to have a fire going. Especially with the use of the 'fire starters' that were there ready and waiting.
All that was absolutely necessary for day one and thereafter was food, us and clothing. We were fortunate in that when we arrived, Sandra and James had provision for tea, coffee, milk and sugar (yay)
We were fortunate on many days to obtain parking in one of the 3 bays opposite, when it wasn't possible, parking in less than a minutes walk was always achievable.
We did have the need to make contact with the owners, and had no difficulty once we had phone coverage in making contact. Very helpful, and sorted us out.
We chose to visit:
Dunster Castle our rating: 5/5
Nutcombe Bottom, seen the tallest tree in England, our rating: 5/5
Combe Martin Wildlife Park, our rating: 5/5
Exmoor Ponies, priceless
Lynmouth, again, lovely - cable car ride, our rating: 5/5
Minehead Eye, our rating: 5/5
Dunster and Minehead beach, our rating: 5/5
Selworthy, gorgeous, stinging nettles - not so great. National Trust Cafe, our rating: 5/5, especially the first aid care we received (and no, not for the stinging nettles).
Minehead Community Hospital, our rating: 5/5. Although I hope never to need to return there
Church bell ringing, and unexpected treat :)
All in all, lovely break, lovely location, lovely cottage
Would definitely recommend this lovely cosy comfy bed cottage

“Beautiful, comfortable country cottage”

Lovely cottage, plenty of space (much bigger than it looks from the outside) in a quiet, pretty village. Well-situated for visiting the area and we loved it. Only problem was an overflowing macerator unit in the 2nd bathroom - owner's brother arranged for a plumber to come to fix it but nobody ever arrived and we had one bathroom/toilet and no shower between the 4 of us for 8 days. Not the owners' fault as they were on holiday but it was very unfortunate, although it didn't spoil the holiday. Highly recommended. No Wifi, which is a bit of a disadvantage really and would be helpful.
