“Best kept secret in Minehead”

We would not have found this tea room had our friends not told us where it was !
But it was well worth looking for and in fact we thought it was the best kept secret in Minehead. The tea room is within a large house containing an antique shop just off the Avenue (the main shopping street) on Bancks Street. It was very "olde worldy" with nice crockery, table cloths and tea served in tea pots containing leaf tea - not tea bags. It has a fantastic array of what appeared to be homemade cakes and a charming, very polite lady serving. It is well worth the effort to seek out the secret to have a very relaxing break.

This tearoom is in a very quiet antiques centre in a semi residential area off the town centre, tucked away at the back, making it very secret which may not attract as many people as it could. Requires a few more sign posts.Retro layout with pretty table cloths and crockery, selling cakes and coffee/tea etc Could be improved with the addition of a few bits of vintage bric a brac for sale and some music, little more light. Friendly staff.
