We visited the white horse the other day, we have been on several occasions and have had a reasonable dinner. Unfortunately on this occasion I found that the service and food had deteriorated significantly and it felt as if the chef had lost his passion for cooking and the staff at the bar had lost all enthusiasm for customer service. It's a real shame as it had great potential to be a really good village pub, but a serious word needs to be had with the owners as our complaint fell on deaf ears

Have been going to this pub for a number of years now and can honestly say I've never been disappointed. It is traditional pub fare with excellent home cooking and more than ample portions. Mondays is Pie night and along with a pint will set you back a mere £8. Great value for money.

my wife and i went here on the off chance and had a perfectly acceptable sunday roast
i had a homemade chicken coujon starter which was impeccable
the roast itself came with yorkshire, carrots, broccoli cabbage and roast potatoes and gravy and condiments
if i had to find fault i would say the beef that i had and the lamb my wife had were cheaper cuts than we have at home, but all in all it was a nice decent lunch with drinks for 25 quid
i would go there again

This place I should keep for myself. Its fantastic....

The food is plentiful, (indeed you cannot eat a starters, main and dessert) .... choose 2 of 3 as you will be full up.....and also the food is excellent.....

It may not seem much from the outside, but everyone inside is friendly, and always very helpful.

Best pub/restuarant I have been to.......bar NONE
