“Better inside”
Reviewed 1 September 2013 via mobile

We very nearly didn't stay as from the outside it has a very shoddy appearance. The interior is modern and the room very satisfactory for the price but they need to get rid of the ridiculous bathroom waterfall tap thing over the basin. Also the shower over the bath is so far up its nearly on the ceiling.the lift wasn't working when we were there and think they would have expected us to carry our bags up 2 flights , but we said we needed help, so the man at reception carried them up. Good comfortable bed. The best find was nearby Indian restaurant Poppa J's fab and not to be missed.
Although its not far to Luton think next time we would stay in the airport area instead

We arrived on a very rainy night in August and only stayed one night, so this is a quick review..

Parking is out the back of the hotel in a tiny car park, not sure what would happen if this was full. The hotel is very centrally located and great if you want to go out for the evening with lots of restaurants and pubs in walking distance.

The hotel decor was glitzy and glamorous, I loved it! There is a bar and restaurant and prices are good.

The room was clean and comfortable and contained.all the essentials for your comfort. The only drawback was the tap in the sink, which could only be described as some sort of science fiction affair, with a 'joystick' and a glass waterfall, where a normal tap would have sufficed.

The staff were very helpful.

Breakfast was delicious, although we were not asked what we wanted, just presented with a full English breakfast.

Appalling. Were swapped to this place 2 days prior to a 'Harry Potter Weekend', by the Chiltern Hotel. Awful experience. It had the appearance of being opened hurriedly just before demolition solely to cater for the 50 people in our party.
Chiltern suddenly find they're overbooked, & miraculously find an hotel with 20 plus rooms available, on a bank holiday weekend. No real Bar. Dreadful food. Shocking décor. But, the staff did try hard. They were on a loser. I've complained, but still no acceptable outcome. No surprise there!!

Room Tip: Go to another Hotel!!!!!!

One night stay in preparation for flight next morning. Greeted by receptionist who swiftly checked us in. Very modern feel inside as are the rooms. Conveniently located to centre and easy access to airport.
The only negative I have with the hotel is that when my friends and I returned to hotel after popping out for food we were confronted with the smell of marajuana outside our rooms and throughout the hallway. We also seen the people involved in this and politely told them to stop which then resulted in a big argument. The boss was notified and promised next day to evict them from hotel (I doubt it was actually done though)
Other than this overall the hotel is ok
