It's a quaint, rough around the edges animal park. Kind of like an old seaside town stuck in the country and although snobs will turn their nose up at its imperfections your children will love it. Don't go there expecting London Zoo . Appreciate it for what it is and how friendly and accommodating the staff are. My party of 9 loved it and my 3 year old had a wonderful time.

We had read previous reviews and were a bit tentative but my 3 yr old loves animals and we had a mixed party of grandparents aunts and uncles for a birthday weekend. We went here and it exceeded all expectations- the soft play alone would be worth the entry fee! Great cafe, facilities all clean lovely staff loads of different animals, carousel, trampolines, tractor rides, meet the animals time where we stroked a duckling and a snake ( separately!!) and no waiting for anything. Had a lovely reasonable lunch and spent hours having fun. Ignore previous reviews- we do lots of farm parks etc and this is an excellent day out!

Visited Woodside Animal Farm today. We only wanted a quick 30 minute look around the place as we happened to be passing - to assess whether we wanted to come for a full day another time.
It is not clear at all, in my view, where you have to go to buy tickets. We wandered in to a shop and were trying to find an admissions/tickets office when we were chased down by a young girl who rudely challenged us "Excuse me, but have you paid?!" It was extremely embarrassing to have her shouting at us in this way. She told us that you have to pay for tickets in the shop so we meekly followed her back to the shop only to have her tell us that she would not sell us any tickets anyway as it was too late in the day. My husband asked what time they were open til as we only wanted to visit for 30 minutes. They were open for another 45 minutes but refused to sell us tickets on the basis that it was too late. She then told us to have a nice afternoon which after being humiliated and made to feel so embarrassed would never be the case. I wonder if she would have a "nice afternoon" after being treated like that?
I will not be returning to this place and will look for another petting farm to take my daughter to. One where you are treated with kindness and dignity.

Thank you for your feedback. During quieter periods, instead of the main entrance we admit customers through the shop entrance, where tickets are sold. Our 'latest entrance' policy is there to ensure that customers receive good value for money and have plenty of time to enjoy all of our facilities. We are sorry you were dissapointed.

A nice little farm, with the usual farm animals and small petting animals - for some reason rabbits and guinea pigs are hardly ever out for animal encounter, which always leaves my little girl disappointed!
From spring til the end of summer, the rides are open - carousel and tea cup. Used to have a helter skelter, but not anymore.
Tractor ride etc... all good fun.
Food at the Barn cafe is ok. Not great but ok. We usually bring a picnic in the warmer months. Nice, if a bit grubby, soft play area and and area for babies too.
