Stayed at the Woodman Inn for three nights and found the place exceded our expectations. We had a suite on the second floor, it was very good. The young staff were excellent and attentive even though the place was busy. Breakfast was very good and the waitress was tops. Evening meals were delicous and reasonably priced. Wine was excellent. Really well situated for us as my wife was keen to visit Holmfirth nearby were Last of the Summer Wine was based around. Central for many Yorkshire towns. We came up from Essex a the drive was worth every mile. Don't let the address (Hudderrsfield) put you off, its about 10 miles away, this is a country Inn in every sense of the word, lovely surrounding's.
Just two small tips; (a) If you don't like plump firm pillows, take your own. (b) If the sound of foot fall from above would annoy you, ask for a room on the top floor.
