“Average to be honest”
Reviewed 22 June 2013

Went last night (9 people) the waiter very attentive but only two other people in restaurant ,then four later.
A free pint of cobra or wine on offer at the moment which is obviously good.
Starters
lamb chops(3) excellent, sheek kebabs very good, lamb lamb tikka only 4 pieces for one person ,other got 5 tasty but very small portion, fish starter good and large piece.

Main courses
All ok except madras very poor, prawn dish ordered mild-medium hotter than madras also an issue ,rogan josh just ok, garlic nans good as was chappatis

opinion
Its a shame about this restaurant as decor excellent but obviously not having repeat bookings There are far better places to eat ,a new revamped Indian 3/4 mile away for instance.
I wish them well but I cant see it being a viable concern if thats a typical Friday night customer numbers.
definate;y a "parsons egg ie good in parts
Once again the waiter patient and polite
total bill with tip for 9 £18 a head (poppadums, starters main course and a few pints cobra plus wine so good value)

“Use it or Lose it!”
Reviewed 22 April 2013

This restaurant is a hidden gem, and if the locals do not get out and use it, they may well lose it. The food is excellent, always prepared and cooked freshly by the owner himself, never failing to deliver on taste. The staff are genuine, polite and pleasant, and the prices are such good value for money. Try it for yourself!

“Couldn't Fault The Food & Service”
Reviewed 30 December 2012

Had an excellent meal here. The good lady and I shared a starter and then had a main dish each with accompaniments. All the food tasted wonderful. The kebabs contained quality lamb and our chicken mains both exclusively contained succulent breast meat. The sauces were just right and very, very tasty.
The service was attentive and informative. Each dish was offered as mild, medium or hot and during each course the waiter returned to ask whether everything was to our satisfaction.
The bill was £30 including two glasses of wine and a Cobra. The restaurant was the perfect temperature for a cold evening outside, not too warm and stuffy.
It was a shame that between 8 and 9 on a Saturday evening there weren't more people than just two couples in the place. How much longer can this restaurant continue with such sparse custom?
After a meal we couldn't find fault with we sincerely hope that business picks up for the owners and running the restaurant remains worthwhile.

“Great Service and Food.”
Reviewed 12 September 2012

After the disappointment of so many Indian restaurant that service up the same old fair with a bog standard sauce spiced to your liking, Leena's is a real find! The lamb chops are fresh and cooked over a charcoal grill .. they taste fantastic !!
The staff advised me about the curries they cook and delivered it how I liked it, it was freshly cooked with a sauce tailored to my taste .. great service!
Cobra on tap and some local bottle beers .. who could want more !! Leena's is a real find with friendly staff who will cook a curry to your liking. The best in Huddersfield from my experience!
