I have just returned from an afternoon tea at Creams in Huddersfield with my mother and partner. This business which is under recent new ownership apparently, serves an amazing variety of teas, coffee and the cakes, sandwiches and meals are to die for. We all had the Eastern Tea which is a twist on a tradition with Java coffee as recommended by owner and front of house star Joanne. A pianist played during our visit on an exquisite baby grand piano.
This venue is modern and spotless with the old fashioned atmosphere and service, so the best of both worlds.
My previous best afternoon tea was in the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin, this equivalent at Creams was a third the price and twice as good, enough said.
Also the window display is made up of the most amazing wedding and other cakes which are available to order in fact several were picked up while we were in situ.
