Description: Set in a rural village location the Foresters Arms is a hidden gem! We are a family run business with over 25 years in the food and hospitality industry. With Greg at the helm, Dawn running the kitchen and a great team of chefs and waiting staff, we strive to make your dining experience not only enjoyable and friendly but somewhere you will feel right at home! All our food is homemade by our team of trained chefs using the freshest, highest quality ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible. If asked to describe our food, we’d say simple, high quality home-cooking with nods to Italy and France, served up with a modern twist. We look forward to seeing you.

We've just moved to the village and popped in before buying a house and the food was great but service painfully slow, this time there was again confusion as to whether food is ordered at the table it bar, to save the wait we ordered at the bar. It would be also nice for someone to check on the table during the meal as we ran out of drinks and again had to order at the bar. The food was fantastic, fresh and good portions. I think the staff just need some basic training and this place will be a huge success! They deserve to do well, we will look forward to a third trip and many more to follow.

I reviewed this restaurant a month ago and commented on the good food and friendly service but found an issue with the unacceptable waiting times on the night we visited. The owner asked that I contact him following that review but to be honest there was never a good opportunity to do that.

We decided to return towards the end of May with our neighbours. This time the whole experience was excellent from start to finish, certainly no problem with waits between courses on this occasion.

We hope to return soon and hopefully spend time in the lovely beer garden

Painfully slow service, staff seem unaware of why people are there. They are more interested in wrapping cutlery than taking orders and clearing tables. Two hours for 1 course is pathetic. The place needs someone to take charge, quickly !

Having not visited the foresters for quite a long while (our last experience was not that great)I can only say how impressed we were with the place.
The beer garden is brilliant, especially as it was a lovely day.
Inside has changed very much for the better, it still has that country pub feel but has lost it old fashioned and a little dated look, and is now clean and smart.
And then to the food a very good menu something for every taste and excellent value for money.
Great service staff friendly and helpful.
The food we ordered was exceptional and we will definitely return again soon.
Great to see the foresters doing so well thanks for breathing new life into the place again.
