“Best cakes for miles.....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 January 2014

Have visited about 10 times so far and there will be many more. Hoping to test out the early morning special coffee and free crumpets again soon! Cakes are great would recommend the choc orange tiffin, scones, carrot cake or liquorice cake...

“Interesting new tea room”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 October 2013

We live in the village and this is a welcome addition to the otherwise poor food/ drink establishments on offer.

Well located and with plenty to tempt on the menu, the staff seem very pleasant and helpful.

I only have one criticism which is the choice of opening hours. The tea room is open early until late afternoon, Monday - Saturday however is completely closed on Sunday. This seems like an odd decision as the time I am most likely to visit a tea room is on a Sunday. This means we still travel to Holmfirth for our fix of cake and tea!

All in all, a very good establishment.

“Lovely little Cafe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 October 2013 via mobile

This was a lovely little tea room with a fantastic selection of teas to choose from. Apart from the tea there was a good selection of other nice drinks (hot and cold) to choose from. The fresh cake counter also looked very nice, though a few peculiar cakes on offer! I also sampled a lovely local ice cream sourced from the dairy just down the road in Denby. Very polite and lovely staff. The tea room had a nice atmosphere and looked good. Would highly recommend. A small free car park (not linked to the cafe) is just a few mins walk away towards the viaduct.

“Great addition to the area!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 September 2013 via mobile

Really nice new cafe in Denby Dale right by the junction opposite the pub. Tastefully renovated lots of exposed brickwork and using the viaduct as the basis for their logo and menu design work. Extensive menu of teas as well as usual coffees and a good selection of hot & cold sandwiches, we had the bacon which came served on fresh hand cut brown bread, with sauces etc. Definitely be going again, a welcome quality addition to our village

“Denby Dale Tea Rooms”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 September 2013

Visited here today and found it delightful. A old stone built cottage completely renovated to make a welcoming stopping place at any time of day and in any weather. Excellent home made sandwiches on delicious bread with a variety of fillings.( well worth the wait). I had one of the best egg mayo I can remember and my husband's pannini looked very filling! I had an organic coke flavoured with ginger and need to find out where the proprietor sources them!! This tea room has only been opened for 2 weeks but is certainly buzzing! If you are visiting Denby Dale it is a must for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea.
