“Excellent stay”
Review of Huddersfield

Huddersfield
Reviewed 10 August 2014

Huddersfield has everything, great shopping, good nightlife, and a brilliant hotel in the Cambridge. In August when I was there they had a food and drink festival which was better and bigger than any I had ever been to.

Check out the Kirklees website to see whats on and where, there are food festivals, carnivals, and the amazing light shows.

Walk around Huddersfield and take in your surroundings and you won't be disappointed but do your homework first. We chanced upon the works of a very famous artist in the art gallery for example-not going to name him, go and see for yourself!

heard about the display in front of the station from a friend at work who rung me to say how amazing it looked. I couldn't resist going down to see for myself the next day. this tour de france display of a French farm was colourful , interesting and so well detailed. there were outbuildings , actual fires and villagers in authentic dress. I counted a cow, 3 French hens, 3 piglets and some sheep too. the 'planting' was amusing with some vegetables just sticking out of the soil beds. I think this appealed to gardeners, children, artists and families. it must also have been a right treat for those arriving by train into Huddersfield. well done.

Pot holes in roads are being repaired and every little detail of the route has been planned in minute detail. The town centre of St George's Square will host a memorable day of coverage on large screens for pedestrians while camp sites and viewing platforms are springing up beside the town itself.
