recently stayed here for a week with my husband and very elderly mother while our house was being cleaned after a house fire. The staff were wonderful! Very sympathetic to our situation and couldn't do enough for us and were prepared to just keep an eye on my mother while we were out at work all day. Wayne especially was very helpful, spending time on the phone to try and find us alternative accommodation when we had move on due to refurbishment starting the following week. Very good standard of accommodation as well! Very impressed with the food and the staff at the next door Nags Head who sent in an excellent breakfast to my mother every morning. This is what a hotel should be like!

I stay here most years over Christmas, it's a great escape away from the family and a much comfier bed than the old one I used to sleep on as a kid (I can't believe they still have that thing!) I stayed the 23rd and 24th December 2013.

The rooms have all recently been refurbished, even though they were great as I remember last year and the year before. They really do deserve the name Premier because the new rooms are even better, there's a special port below the TV for you to attach your own HDMI cable if you want to use it as a big monitor for your laptop, a VGA input and an analogue input for older games consoles so if you're travelling with the kids you can take their console with them to keep them quiet, the room has a 40" tv with all the freeview channels. The beds are now even comfier and each room has it's own thermostat, there's no air conditioning but it wasn't needed at this time of year. The windows now have a much better opening and closing mechanism and they close easier without the need for slamming them. Wifi is a great price at only £3 a day or £10 a week, the mobile network was a little sketchy here even though it was quite close to the motorway.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, it easily gives the big expensive hotels a run for their money, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else now because you always know what you're getting. If you're a light sleeper you might want to request a room that isn't facing the motorway, but if you're used to the noise of a road then this shouldn't bother you too much, the double glazing is very good.

Room Tip: Choose a room that isn't facing the motorway if you're a light sleeper.

Our room had been decorated 4 days before we arrived and it was lovely, very modern and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Restaurant next door is fab for dinner but would to just round the corner for breakfast to the toby carvery, its half the price! Hotel is good value for money would definitely stay again.

1 night here in November 2013 on business - realise that this Premier Inn was being refurbished so work ongoing. Staff very friendly, nice room, clean, comfortable, ... kind of worry about location next to motorway but no problem with noise etc. Recommended & would stay again.

So convenient and close to the motorway which you could not hear. Some rooms in the process of being refurbed. Our room had just been refurbed. Room was superb, bed superb, large wall-mounted TV. Decorations and decor excellent. Tea/coffee facilities were good. Bathroom spotless. Food and drink next door at the Nags Head was to die for. Reception staff were welcoming, pleasant, helpful and cheerful. Overall a wonderful experience we would like to repeat.

I stayed here during a business trip to Huddersfield. Although the rooms are adequately furnished, the interiors could definitely use a bit of work. There was no complimentary water in the room and free wifi is available only for 30 mins a day. There is a restaurant / pub located right next door - The Nags Head - which is quite nice. The breakfast (which is the regular continental spread - tea, coffee, juices, breads, cereals, eggs, etc. on the table) is served here. A fair option for business travellers.

We had a super recent stay. Staff were great, room was clean and bed very comfortable and pub next door was excellent. Would highly recommend. The location was a good alternative to central Huddersfield but you do need a car.
