I stayed at the Premier Travel Inn Huddersfield West on business for one night, and it was exactly as I expected. Friendly check in, large room, superking bed, adequate bathroom, TV and the bonus of a telephone.
The few negative points were that a coaster on the superking bed had broken and the bed slanted, the TV remote control did not work and the toilet did not appear stable, however, this did not detract from the stay. I did mention these point to the reception on checking out and they said they would look into them.
The hotel is next to the M62 and there is some road noise, but the double glazed windows did block out the noise. For those light sleepers I would recommend a room at the front of the hotel, which is the opposite side to the motorway.
Prior to booking I was informed the pub next door (The Nags Head) was closed for refurbishment (due to open October 2007), but there is a Toby Cavery (Ainley Top), about 500 metres away which was more than an adequate replacement.
Overall, a pleasant stay. I would have no hesitation in staying there again, or recommending for for a short stay.
