We stayed here for 1 night prior to travelling to France. What a superb place, clean, friendly and excellent breakfast.I was contacted the day before to see what time We would be arriving as the restaurant was closed on a Sunday and they ensured we had instructions for entering the property. We were able to help ourselves to soft drinks, beer, fruit and sweets and there was still tea/coffee making facilities in our room. rooms were modern, clean and comfortable,
We would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it.

Just stayed at Pauls, and if you are in folkestone this is where you want to stay. We visit every 6 months and have not been able to get booked there as only 3 rooms. Stayed in Walk in Park Room it was beautiful, large, great amount of bathroom space and memory foam matress for great nights sleep. Lovely clean modern bathroom.
Owner Paul couldn't do enough for you, amazing service we will definately stay here again!

We found Stay2a on line and booked two rooms for our grown-up family as it suited us perfectly for an overnight stop close to our Eurotunnel boarding point in the morning. The option of booking in on a Sunday afternoon and securing a table at Pauls Restaurant underneath the B&B was ideal and we were definitely not disappointed. The sat-nav guided us directly to the postcode location and we were able to park the car in the small individual parking space around the back. (Bit of a squeeze down the alleyway, but manageable).
The website pictures reflect the high-end décor and presentation of the rooms. Excellent facilities with Wi-Fi, complimentary soft drinks, tea-coffee etc. and digital TV. The approachable, friendly and helpful introduction by our hosts made us feel most welcome. The big comfortable beds with plenty of space in the rooms ensured a fantastic night’s sleep (complete with early morning wake up call from friendly seagulls calling) and with a terrific breakfast to start the day…can’t fault it. We had a great Sunday lunch in the restaurant, but will review that separately.
Thoroughly recommended and well deserving of a return visit after our first ever stay in Folkestone….

Room Tip: website room descriptions are accurate..

Stayed for one night at the end of our mini break in Kent. What a surprise! Clementine 69 has given a great review so not much to add.
I booked the Walk in the Park room purely for the bed, memory foam mattress, and it delivered. We were super comfy but because of the heat we had the windows open and it was pretty noisy all night and the window cleaner at 730am was a bit of a surprise! In hindsight I would probably stay in another room as I am sure they are just as comfy.
Penny was beyond lovely and has done a stunning job on the 3 rooms, everything you need and more. More rooms planned!!!!
We didn't eat dinner at Paul's restaurant below as the menu was a bit eclectic and overly complicated though breakfast was lovely with a great selection.
I would strongly recommend the B&B to any of my friends though if you were staying longer than one night I think parking could be a problem.

Room Tip: Walk in the park is the noisiest room, Burlesque is at the back of the house.

We were welcomed and looked after by a lovely guy called Clive, who really couldn't do enough for us when we arrived for our overnight stay.
We had booked the Walk in the Park room for a night, prior to a Eurotunnel crossing the next morning. Parking is next door in a Solicitor's car park, but only until 08:30, as office staff arrive from then onwards.
Everything in Stay 2A is fresh and clean, bright and airy. At the top of the stairs, guests can help themselves to chilled cold drinks, make cafe-standard coffees and take advantage of the well stocked fruit bowl. There are also hot drink making facilities in the rooms, with a more than ample supply of milks etc. And a cute biscuit barrel!
The bathroom was pristine...no faults to be found.
Decor wise, they have tried hard at Stay 2A to furnish character rooms, and have succeeded in providing a high standard. A Walk in the Park is a nice concept; one wall of paper with flocked dogs on, the opposing wall with trees on. But it strikes a little of trying too hard, and in all honesty, the two styles do not match. The room would have looked much classier with just the tree wallpaper. The lighting in the room had been carefully considered and was impressive with lovely lamps, although the bedside ones were dusty inside. There were handwritten notes on gnarly post-its, of instructions on how to work the TV/digibox, and these were also scrawled on a printed info card about the establishment: this surpasses the personal touch and strikes of a rushed afterthought. Maybe instructions that are typed, printed and laminated would be rather more practical/professional? The bed was wonderfully comfortable and provided a good nights sleep.
At breakfast we met the proprietors, both of whom were lovely people. Breakfast was made to order and was truly fantastic! Top marks, and then some!
Would definitely recommend this place and would definitely stay again if we were doing another channel hop.

We have stayed at Stay2a during the bank holiday weekend for 1 night and have really enjoyed our experience. The room we had "Love Letters" was perfectly decorated according to the theme and we were offered a selection of fruit, soft drinks on arrival. In the morning we were offered a wide selection of food for breakfast by Paul which we both loved. The personal touch about this hotel really makes a difference. The only small remark I'd say that the room had a bit too much light in the morning coming through the blinds so this woke us up earlier! Other than that it was perfect!
