“Great place to stay in Folkestone”
Reviewed 2 January 2014 via mobile

Stayed here on 31.12.2013 only for one night. The welcome from paul and penny was really good. Room, love letters, was really exceptional. Everything was there. Even spare tea bags and spare biscuits. Fruit was available and so was some bubbly. Room was very clean and tidy. Much better then some four or five star hotels. Breakfast was at a time to suit us and not to suit the hotel. Just a great place and we will be back in summer. Many thanks for a great stay.

We stayed one night to see family and eat at Paul`s restaurant ( downstairs) and once again were treated to a wonderful experience. Clean and well decorated room with the aforementioned bed. Tea and coffee making equipment and complimentary soft drinks and biscuits and fruit and sweets outside in or near the fridge. Parking is free and the location is right by the main street. Ideal for pre or post ferry breaks or Leas Cliff Hall events. Clive`s wonderful breakfasts are a major highpoint with enough choice for any palate or preference. You dont have to stay to take breakfast.
Only one slight whinge - the wifi must have been having a night off.

Room Tip: All 3 are wonderful but book early to avoid disappointment.

Can't fault it - the room (love letters) was spacious, modern and spotless; the welcome warm (liked the complimentary drinks) and the breakfast delicious. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Thanks, Paul and Penny.

A true gem of a boutique B and B. A genuine friendly welcome from the owners. Nice touches included a welcome hot drink on arrival and complimentary fruit on the landing. Well furnished super modern room and a good night's sleep followed by a great breakfast choice - how often are you offered eggs mornay for breakfast?
Parking is a bit complicated but a minor distraction to a great stay.
By the time you have added breakfast costs to the room rate it was no more expensive than the local Travelodge - say no more!

Room Tip: The Burlesque bedroom is the smallest but is at the rear therefore quieter.

We arrived and were met by Paul and shown to our amazing room "A Walk in the Park" with quirky flocked dog wallpaper and trendy decor it was gorgeous. A lovely touch with unlimited drinks and tea and coffee in the communal area and in the room. A ldeep bath and powerful shower. After a restful sleep and then for an amazing breakfast that kept us going all day long. Opted for the full English on the first day (with tropical fruit salad and yoghurt to start!) and haddock and eggs with spinach on the second. Really delicious and fresh local ingredients. We ate in the resturant Saturday night and again a fabulous filling meal with a to die for dessert. A really friendly and helpful couple and would definitely stay here again, would definitely recommend!

Rooms are fab - very modern in design, comfy beds. Nice touch of free soft drinks & tea/coffee in communal area (also tea/coffee facilities in room). Spoilt for choice at breakfast - saw us both through till wayyyyy past lunchtime. Weak wifi signal in front bedroom though unless you sit near the door!

We found the B&B without issue, parked the car and were shown to our well apportioned well decorated room.

The level of cleanliness was excellent, I thought the bed was going to be too soft but despite this I has a great nights sleep.

Wifi signal was a little weak in our room so I used 3G instead.

Breakfast was served promptly with a high level of friendliness from both Paul and Penny.

Why not opt for something different than the large chains and stay a night here?
