We stayed here for 1 night b&b. The accommodation is above a restaurant called Paul's which is also owned by the same couple. On arrival we were greeted by Paul himself who was busy serving in the restaurant. However he immediately guided us to a parking place behind the restaurant and even moved his own car for us to do it. He took our case and showed us to our room and gave us all the relevant information we would need. The room was spacious and modern and very tastefully decorated (art deco style). The bed was extremely comfortable, there was a large wardrobe, safety deposit box, large screen tv, writing desk and table lamp. The bathroom was also very modern and it was clear there had been a lot of money spent on the property to get it just so. There are just 3 rooms to book but they were all very modern (we had a sneaky look when empty). A really nice touch was a fridge with soft drinks and water all provided free of charge. Also coffee making facilities too. We were given our own key so that we could come and go as we please. Paul's local knowledge is extensive and he is happy to direct guests to all areas of Folkestone and beyond. We had a sumptuous breakfast with a huge choice on offer and all cooked by Paul himself. It looks like Paul will be re-locating in the near future to Hythe and if he does I am sure we will pay him another visit. Thanks Paul and good luck.

Room Tip: Only 3 rooms available and all recommended.

We stayed only one night regrettably to see friends and family and once again all our expectations were met and exceeded. A great nights sleep, all mod cons and a really tastefully furnished room, Love Letters, which was spotlessly clean. Clive sent us home after yet another lip smackingly good breakfast. Probably just as well we didnt stay longer - for our waistline only.

Room Tip: All 3 are equally special - book now to avoid disappointment.

Stayed one night 29th March 2014 (stayed in the walk in the park room)

Arrived early afternoon where we were met by Paul who welcomed us and showed us to our room, which was gorgeous, decorated to a very high standard and little touches like fresh fruit, juice, water, tea coffee and biscuits were all available to us should we want them.

Bathroom had a lovely tub and the most powerful shower known to man ! brilliant !

Free parking is available also which is nice to have as hotel is close to the town centre.

We had reservations at another restaurant already so did not try the restaurant but did arrive for a drink prior to leaving for the evening and it was full and the food looked gorgeous.

Breakfast in the morning was also delicious and large !

Penny and Paul are fantastic hosts and I hope we can return and stay again (this time we will eat in Pauls restaurant, I wish we had organised this prior to arriving this time)

Paul guided us to town so we could wander and although Folkestone is not the prettiest seaside town you can visit, Dover is just up the road and is a gorgeous place to visit whilst in the area.

Would return in a heartbeat, 5 star rooms and 5 star service... Thanks Paul and Penny :))

Completely agree with the previous reviewer - the place is REALLY excellent! Modern design, all details in the rooms and bathroom extremely well thought out. Kudos to Penny and Paul!
Complimentary fruit, coffee, mineral water, tea, biscuits. You don't see this in your regular English B&B. Breakfast is huge and tasty!

Hosts are simply wonderful - give you lots of personal attention in a very friendly manner. Have no doubts, if you come to Folkestone - spend a night at Stay2a!

The Hotel is above a restaurant called Paul's, we stayed here on a Friday night, if you arrive after 6pm there is free parking all weekend.

The first thing you get is a really friendly welcome from Penny (Paul's wife), shown up to the room (we stayed in the Burlesque room) there are only 3 rooms so it is very intimate and personal.

On the way up we were shown extra tea and coffee facilities and also a fridge full of complimentary soft drinks, this sets the tone for the stay and then into our room ...WOW what a great design, the room is designed by Penny and has far too many personal touches to describe them but for a traveler the important ones are it was clean, a comfy bed, good facilities, quiet, big and well laid out.

After a good nights rest we went down to the restaurant for breakfast Paul came to take our order and again WOW what a huge plate of loveliness, all the usuals that you would expect but much better than those stupid chains with their buffet breakfasts and warmed through food.

On the way out we peeked into the other 2 rooms and still the same quality as the one we stayed in each one different and stylish.

This place works and works well because of the owners Penny and Paul they are quite obviously passionate about what they do and they have a keen eye for detail and that personal touch shows in every nook and cranny, the place is much better than the faceless chains, so next time you are looking for somewhere to stay or eat make sure you choose Stay2a or Paul's restaurant in Folkestone I promise you will not be disappointed.

What a wonderful find. Not only did we have a very stylish, immaculately clean room but also service beyond the call of duty. Stayed at 2a while running a double marathon on the coast. Not only did we get a freshly cooked breakfast to send us on our way but also a lift each day to the start and a special plate of food made up for us when we finished. Even better we were allowed to leave our belongings in our room on check out day and return in the afternoon for a much needed hot shower. Lots of little extras like complimentary snacks and soft drinks, tea, coffee and biscuits. Can't recommend it enough.

Having agonised for some time over which B&B we should stay in during our Folkestone trip, we were ultimately swayed by Stay2a's universally positive reviews on TripAdvisor; richly deserved as far as we are concerned!

We stayed in the room entitled "A Walk in the Park" and it is one of the best I have encountered in a B&B - huge comfortable bed, enough floor space to stage your own dance contest and a luxurious en-suite with powerful shower (weak showers being a particular bugbear of mine!)

We also had chance to look inside the other two rooms, "Love letters" and "Burlesque" which although smaller are still a very good size and equally well appointed.

Stay2a provide all visitors with free bottled softdrinks which are accessible from a large fridge outside the room along with tea/coffee and fresh fruit - a nice touch.

Our host was Clive who also cooks in Pauls' restaurant which is connected to the B&B. He genuinely couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful and cooked us a superb breakfast in the morning (numerous options depending on preference).

Overall, I can't think of many superior B&B's I have stayed in anywhere and would strongly recommend the place to anyone looking to visit Folkestone.

Room Tip: All rooms of a very good standard. "A Walk in the Park" is the largest.
