I visit Folkestone quite a lot and am still looking for a really nice place to stay. In my view, Wards is good, but not yet in the "excellent" category. The hotel is located in a nice part of town, easy to find and park, whilst also being quiet and within reasonable walking distance of both the town centre and the Leas. Our room was very spacious, the bed comfortable, and contained TV, hairdryer and tea making facilities. Some aspects of the decor were perhaps a little tired but this was offset by the spaciousness of the room. A refurbishment programme is under way so that this hotel can only improve.
Restaurant closes early on Sundays.
Would be happy to stay again.
