“What a trip!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 September 2013

We traveled to Folkestone to start our holiday to France on that fateful Friday afternoon that the Dartford Tunnel and Blackwall Tunnel had to close due to a bomb scare. Heading down from Newcastle upon Tyne was quite a first leg we thought, with our black lab Monty in the car, until we hit the Dartford trouble.
Sarah and her husband could not have been more helpful, ringing us on our mobile to check we were ok, trying to direct us through London at 11pm at night with 9 mile tailbacks! We arrived at the guesthouse at 1.45am and they could not have been more friendly!

Room was fab, linen clean and fresh, breakfast the next morning was great. Room had access to a garden for the dog, we couldn't have asked for a better and more friendlier place! Thank you both so much for your help that day/night.

Would definitely recommend this place!!!!

Thanks for all of your help Sarah, having a ground clamp to padlock my bike to was a great reassurance and was a deciding point on booking with you...forget me the bike was more important!

Room was clean and well equipment. thanks again and hopefully see you again

Stayed here for 3 nights in august for the ska splash event. Stayed in room 1 on ground floor that had a lovely little garden to sit in.sarah was so welcoming. --- she let us check in early which was great--nothing was to much trouble for her. The breakfast was great. Left each day full . Will def return to this b&b again and recommend it to others. Thank you again x simon and jayne

This guest house was perfect for an overnight stay (or longer!) before taking the Eurotunnel. The rooms are comfortable, very clean, very nicely set out and with a personal touch. Sarah is warm and welcoming and very helpful. The room prices are very reasonable. The location is perfect to walk down to the small port town. No complaints and would be happy to stay again!

A car break-down led me to experience on of the best of British stay in
a well located guest house on the Dover Rd - Folkestone.
The prices of rooms are in the league of this competitive kind of lodging but here quality
of services prevails. At 47£ for a double room, it is fair.
At a walking distance from one of the great natural scenery of the heritage
cliffs of Kent, this hostel offers comfortable rooms with modern ensuite bathrooms, wifi in rooms, four private parkings in front of the entry door, a quality full English breakfast and
a most noticeable friendly and helpful staff and lady of the house. Such a degree of detail
to please the customer undeniably sets a high standard. Highly recommendable, again with pleasure.

This B&B is ideal for travellers using the tunnel, reasonably priced, no frills, excellent service and a great breakfast in the morning. Sarah is lovely and nothing seems to be to much trouble for her. We would definately stay again.
