The Milton Tower Hotel ist perfect located and dispose a lovely patio with an excellent view! The host were very friendly and helpful. The room was big an the the bathroom giant. But you couldn't change the temperature of the shower - water. Bummer! The whole hotel seems to be grubby and the breakfast were nearly uneatable.

Needed a place in Dunoon and chose this place for convenience and price. Very warm welcome with good, personal service. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was good and cooked to order. Room comfortable and quiet and functional. On the downside, and it's a very minor point, the room was 'tired' and in need of a modern makeover - shower was only just functional

Room Tip: Best views are south-facing

I came here at second time. I was very disappointed so room was not clean and smelled musty and after mildew.Totally its an old hotel. Breakfast was in oil. Just the view and lounge was great like always. Dunoon is a small sweet city. I will come back Dunoon again but sleep in another hotel.

We have just returned from an overnight stay at the Milton Tower Hotel, this being our second visit in the past 4 years. We have stayed with our young daughter and have been in two different family rooms, both spacious, comfortable and clean. The owners are very friendly, warm and welcoming. Breakfast is freshly cooked and delicious.
The hotel itself is ideally located close to the centre, an easy walk to the main street restaurants, and the esplanade and pebble beach is directly in front. The views are very impressive down the Clyde. There is a lovely lounge on the first floor with large bay windows, and there are binocculars for guests to use. We have not spent a lot of time here, but there are plenty of comfortable chairs, and interesting things to look at.
We come to Dunoon often as we have friends who live close by, and when we come back we would always consider returning to the Milton Tower.

This was really great accommodation. Edith was really helpful with anything that you asked for.

The accommodation is situated 2 minutes walk from the Gourock-Dunoon passenger ferry with great views overlooking the firth of the clyde. The room was very acceptable with a TV and en-suite facilities all for £25 per night. Breakfast included cooked and uncooked varieties and nothing was too much trouble.

If I return to Cowal this is where I'll stay!

Room Tip: Only stayed in one room, no realy view but good faciliteis (room number 2)

We have just returned from a tour of Yorkshire and Scotland and as we were going near Dunoon called into see and stay at the Milton Tower. We have been many times before not as many as we would like but we live a fair way away. Greeted as usual with the warmth that we have come to expect from George and Editha. The room and the food as usual was excellent, the atmosphere warm and friendly, the weather was fairly kind to us, and as usual the value of staying here is excellent. Recommend it to anyone visiting Dunoon. So close to promenade that you can get your excercise in as well.
