Our second visit to Abbots Brae and received usual warm welcome from Christine and Colin for whom nothing is too much trouble.
Dog friendly hotel and the dog is made as welcome as the 2 legged guests.
We stayed in Colintraive which looked out over the garden to the rear of the hotel. Room was spotlessly clean, had comfortable bed and nice finishing touches such as the Molton Brown toiletries and a proper shower with a gushing supply of hot water rather than the usual trickle you get in many hotels.
Excellent breakfast to set you up for the day and plenty of information and maps on the local area on which hosts are only too willing to advise.
Well worth a visit to Benmore for the gardens and forest walks.
Many thanks to Christine, Colin and the team.

Purchased a stay for 4 people via Groupon voucher. Due to oversight on my part, I missed cut off day for booking and was advised to contact owner as it was up to his discretion if we could have our break.. However ,he was unwilling to accomodate us ,even though offer was running until end of December. Not very customer friendly and he also informed me that I was not the only person with the same difficulty ! So quids in for you sir and out of pocket, dissatisfied would-be- customers. Hence the Boo Hiss from Moira. Mc. Learie

The offer you refer to had a clear cut off date for booking your stay and was priced on that basis. The terms and conditions of the offer were set by the company selling/distributing the voucher and the cut off date was advertised clearly on their web site prior to your purchase and confirmed on the voucher itself. The vast majority of people who purchased this offer booked by the cut off date. To extend the cut off date would be unfair on those customers/guests that did not have an 'oversight'. We have asked for your review to be removed as it does not relate to a stay in our hotel.

My Husband and I stayed the weekend at Abbot's Brae as a birthday gift from our Daughter. What a wonderful place it is, so welcoming and friendly. Christine, Colin and their staff really do go the extra mile for their guests. We stayed in Benmore which had beautiful views of the Clyde, and we also had a bathroom with a view. Moulton Brown toiletries were a lovely surprise, as was the well stocked hospitality tray. We loved to be able to relax in the lounge before and after dinner, and the breakfast set us up for the day. We were sorry to leave, but will return.

Room Tip: Upgrade for the fantastic views, worth every penny

This was our first trip to Abbots Brae and it won't be the last! The hosts, Colin and Christine made us feel special and turned a two night break into a mini holiday for us - they catered to our every need and ensured our children and even the dog had a fabulous stay. The guest house is cosy and welcoming, with awesome views. The breakfasts are superb. The hosts clearly know their area and the needs of their visitors - we were ideally informed about places to visit applicable to the children and the dog - which always makes for a good break. Our thanks and appreciation go to the hosts and their wonderful abode.

Room Tip: For families on a budget, look out for Groupon deals and also they have a huge family room available...
