“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 16 July 2012

We visit this wonderfull hostelry every month. The couple running the venue could not be
More welcoming and they go out of there way to welcome children as well, even provided
Toys and play items to keep them occupied. Good selection of whiskey and even locally
Brewed real ale. We particularly enjoy the Friday evening fish suppers which are exceptionally
Goog value for money. The collet inn is located by the side of one of the most scenic lochs,
Loch Eck, in the cooler months, there is also a welcoming log fire.

“Charming”
Reviewed 9 July 2012

Classic small inn on the banks of a lovely lock. I tried their trout, and it was simply prepared and sublime. Excellent meal.

“A really good welcome, meal and to enjoy great scenery in Argyll”
Reviewed 28 April 2012

Very good value indeed. We ate here several times during our stay in Argyll. Despite being only open midweek and weekends (then still out of season for the area,) we were made to feel very welcome and it was so genuine. The landlord even knew our village in Dorset where we live. This setting the scene for enjoyable conversation. What a small world!
The cooking and service was in the family and of a high technical standard. Sunday Roast was exeptionable value. The chef's specials were popular with the locals and when we tried these we realised why. There was not a huge choice of deserts - but what was on offer was very well prepared from scratch with all local fresh ingredients. We considered the food to be of excellent value for money throughout.
Their Gaelic coffee special after meal drink was to die for!
The Inn is on the banks of Loch Eck. and we were fortunate to visit when the majestic landform reflections in the still water could be seen - considered very lucky if you saw this.
Certainly a place for a re-visit.
