First visit for lunch since new management took over. Decor and seating in Restaurant area is now clean and inviting, and staff very friendly and attentive. Drinks were served within minutes. Pity the kitchen spoiled these positives. We waited 45 minutes for 2 burgers, chips, coleslaw, and salads, and others had long waits also. The food was good when it arrived, and yes, all the tables were taken, and food was being served in the bar area, but 45 minutes is way too long to wait for a lunch. On paying the bill (sorry, no tips for poor service) we noticed a female cook hard at work in the kitchen with appropriate hat and cook's uniform on, as it should be. There was also a male ?cook? who was wearing casual clothes and no hat, which was totally unsuitable attire for working in a busy kitchen. Maybe he was just in for the day, but that is no excuse, and he should have been properly dressed like the female chef. As previously stated, the kitchen let down an otherwise well set up bar/restaurant. Will not be returning any time soon, or recommending anyone to visit here for food. Shame kitchen set up is letting down all the other good staff.
