“Good wholesome breakfast”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2014

We were driving past Sheila's on the way to another place, but stopped and went back based on curb appeal.

We asked to put two tables together and got a slightly cold reception, but carried on as I can't actually fit into the fixed chairs.

Meals were hot and delivered quickly. They were tasty and hearty. Good overall, but nothing to jump up and down over

“Do not drive past Sheila's Diner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2014

If you are in Dunoon or staying near bye you must try the food at Sheila's Diner. What ever you have for your meal I am sure you will not be disappointed Friday night is Steak Night home made soup followed by steak chips peas and if you add a sauce mushroom or peppercorn you only add £1 I had change from £20 and that was for two people. Sunday lunch is great and try the salads. My other half has had the curry and I love the lamb burger. The cars in the car park show you how popular it is. Go where the locals go and go to Sheila's!!!!

“Good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

I stay quite a lot in Dunoon area and went just recently to Sheila's Diner. I had Fish and Chips with peas to take away, and although more expensive than your usual fish supper, we got back to our caravan a couple of miles away, and it was as warm and fresh as it would have been to eat it at the diner. They also give you tartar sauce with it. Although the diner could do with a bit of a revamp, the food is certainly good. Meringues especially are enormous, but going by portion size, I wouldn't complain. It would certainly do to have a smile exchanged when you go in, so come on, cheer up when serving the public!

“I look forward to this every year...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2014

I visit the Cowal Highland Gathering every year and every year, my party eat here on the way home - it has become a tradition of sorts.

The food is always excellent - regardless of what you order and the cakes are enormous. The meringue in particular. Food a touch expensive for what it is but the portions are huge.

Decor could do with a revamp and the ladies who run it are a bit grumpy but I actually think that all adds to the charm of the diner.

Wouldn't change a thing and I hope the owners never do.
