We passed through Dunkeld on the way to Pitlchory as a part of one day trip of Rabbies. We stopped at Dunkeld a small town on our way . At one end of the town is the cathedral which is lovely and partly ruined. You can browse through history in the cathedral.a cemetery adjoins the Cathedral, The town has a nubeof small bakeries and eateries.Definitelybworth a short visit.

This is being lovingly restored (as is the village's World War I Memorial in time for the 100th anniversary) and leads you down the main street into the village

We passed through Dunkeld on the way to Pitlochry and planned to stop to visit the Cathedral. Dunkeld is a lovely little town sitting on the River Tay. Lots of shops to browse. The Cathedral sits on the edge of town surrounded by beautiful lawns with benches and views of the river. The parish church is lovely and the ruins are being restored. The cemetery sits along side the church. Definitely worth a visit.

Such a beautiful, spiritual place which is well kept and at the end of a charming street. The ruined part is particularly fascinating. Well worth a visit.

Helpful friendly staff made for an interesting visit. Lovely grounds with walks along the river and information boards give info on ancient trees.
