We had lunch en route from Cambridge to Caerphilly. The pub/restaurant is in a nice area of Chepstow and it has a big car park and plenty of outside tables for the fine weather. The waiting staff were exceptional. We were made to feel welcome and we were served promptly. We both had the sliced sirloin of beef which was succulent and tender. The vegetables were cooked to perfection as was the Yorkshire pudding and if you like gravy then you are in for a treat. The portions were a good size and there was a good selection of puddings (if you have room!). We thought the cost was reasonable given the quality of the food. Roast Celtic beef £10.95. We don't travel this route very often but we will return for certain when we do.
