Stayed there on a 2 night break Thursday and Friday 22nd & 23rd of November with the pigsback deal. We arrived on the first night and decided to wait until the 4th member of our party arrived before we had dinner. We arrived in the bar at around 8:30 for dinner. We ordered 2 steak sandwiches, fish and chips and the roast of the day. When the food arrived it was barely warm my fiancee had asked for her steak sandwich with no onions just cheese, it had no cheese and the steak tasted of onions. The fish and chips well was pretty much the same, although the fish was tiny and under cooked. I told the bar man that my food was cold, he brought it back to the kitchen and soon returned with the same food re-heated and just dumped it on the table. Had a taste of it and to be honest wouldn't have given it to my dogs. Left it so I could say I was not happy when table was cleared. Barman cleared the table and didn't even bother clearing my plate and I wasn't asked was everything OK with food when I paid either. I mentioned this to the restaurant manager Thomas the next day and he was suppose to get back to me but he didn't so we did not have dinner the second night. On a positive note decided to try breakfast and it was lovely all the food was great, especially the sausages and the pastries. The hotel staff were very nice but we did find at times they
were to busy chatting with each other. The rooms were very nice and clean. Overall we might return to the hotel but we were glad we had got a good deal otherwise we would have been very disappointed.

Nice large bedroom and good heating. Shower leaks out onto floor but good standard. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Lots of celebs attending Sports Awards added to the excitement. Buffet Breakfast was better this year than on previous occasions. Good range of food available and it is a pity that there is no facility to keep the plates warm. Overall very pleasant and comfortable visit and will return again next year (health permitting)

Excellent hotel for accomm, availed of tasty Thursday offer and husband v disappointed with food, mine was ok but not best ever. Breakfast ok, cold plates and hot food not v hot. goid choice though from buffet, liked the pastries choice especially.
Loved spa experience and cannot rate Simone highly enough. Lovely manner, honest and open- one of best spa staff I've ever met- and she's not paying me. Liked leisure facilities but quite crowded when kids swim lessons on and crowded in changing rooms. Hotel v quiet but prob time of yr.
Used voucher offer and would probably return but eat elsewhere

Stayed here for a 2 night midweek break with the pigsback deal.
Had been here around 6 or 7 yrs ago before and the place does not appear to have changed much although as you walk around it is hard not to notice a lot of cracked floor tiles that could do with been replacing.
Hotel room was large comfortable and clean but the hotel itself was like the Marie Celeste, We very rarely seen any other guests at all. We were the only ones in the bar on the first night and the same at breakfast the first morning,
Part of the deal included vouchers for the spa which was the highlight of the stay, and I would recomend any future guests to try the spa.
The swimming pool appears to have been halved in size since we were last here, and also appears to be mainly used by non residents for various classes during the day.
All in all we enjoyed our stay as we were looking for a quiet relaxing couple of days, which is what we got for sure, staff were polite and helpfull, we did not try the restraunt or the bar food, but breakast was the usual buffef which was quite small to be honest, but this was probally due to lack of guests, the breakfast also included a cooked full Irish which was very nice.

We booked this hotel for our wedding in August and we were delighted with our choice. All of our guests loved staying at the hotel and there is great options for accommodation with the lodges providing a self catering option which is great for families with kids especially. We and our guests found the staff very helpful and no request was any trouble for them. The food is good quality with lots of variety. If you have an interest in golf this is also a great place to stay. We cannot recommend this hotel enough and it is the staff who really make the hotel stand out as an excellent place to stay.
