“House and location perfect for an enjoyable family stay”

What a wonderful place to stay right on the Welsh - English border. A clean, comfortable, deceptively large house, very well equipped, top quality furnishings and fittings. The uninterrupted view of the river Wye is amazing, just yards away, but the property is very well placed for the town centre as well, where there are great butcher's shops, artisan bread, artisan beer etc. and several excellent pubs. We had excellent food from the local deli and butchers. This is a great place to explore the beautiful, scenic area of the Welsh Marches, including Offa's Dyke Path which is on the doorstep.

“Perfect in every way!”
Reviewed 11 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

A lovely house - well and very comfortably equipped - ideal for two couples for a long weekend. The house was thoughtfully and generously prepared with just the sorts of things available that you don't want to take fro a long weekend e.g. butter, milk, a loaf of delicious local bread, etc. Hay is lovely with lots to do and good places to eat! Thank you!

“A stylish, modern and warm holiday home in the centre of Hay”
Reviewed 7 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

We stayed at Millbank at the beginning of January whilst visiting family. The modern townhouse is arranged over three floors. The house feels spacious, warm, is well equipped and decorated like a boutique hotel. The bedrooms are comfortable with good linens and the sitting room has a lovely, comfortable sofa and a welcoming fire. There is a great view of the Wye from the house.

During our stay there was a power-cut in Hay, and the owners quickly came to our rescue with candles and torches. We would very happily stay at Millbank again, and thank the owners for a good weekend in their lovely house.

“Super convenient, very lovely and comfortable stay”
Reviewed 15 December 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Such a great place to stay, overlooking the Wye, could hardly be more convenient for walks along the river, or for getting to the bookshops! The rooms are all lovely, especially the first floor living room with its balcony and views.

“Immaculate property in a great location”
Reviewed 1 December 2014 for a stay in November 2014

I stayed in one of the Hayside Riverside retreats houses and it was absolutely gorgeous. The house was immaculate and really well resourced. The view of the river was calming and beautiful. We couldn't have been happier with the place.

“Stayed in many places in Hay - this is my favourite, loved it!”
Reviewed 19 October 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We have been staying in Hay every summer for 15 years with our children. We really loved this house which was spotless and modern with a very well equipt kitchen, the living room has a balcony door that opens completely which we really liked. We took our spaniel who spent many hours sitting on the balcony gazing at the river! The location is perfect, its effectively in town, but because of the location overlooking the river it is very quiet and peaceful as well.

We will definately be booking again for 2015!

“Modern tastefully furnished property in great location for the village and walking along the Wye”

A tastefully furnished property on 3 floors.Fairly new build--2011 I think. Very modern spacious kitchen/diner on the ground floor has all the equipment you would need, and has patio doors opening onto a large sitting area which is close to the tree lined banks of the Wye. The flow of the river is nice background. Large lounge on 1st floor opens onto a sizeable balcony. 1 large sized bedroom on 1st floor with ensuite, and two other good size bedrooms on 2nd floor with a nearby bathroom are very comfortable. Very convenient for walks that start from the Wye, and really handy (2 mins walk) for the shops pubs and takeaways of the village. Parking is tight but room for 1 car per property.
