Beautifully appointed both inside and out and with all conveniences that one could require, Apple House is by far one of the best holiday rentals this family of 5 have stayed in. Caroline and Richard were so welcoming and helpful over our stay, what with local knowledge and suggestions of things to do on rainy days. We would highly recommend Apple House and hope to return some time in the future.

We just had a beautiful holiday at Apple cottage. The best holiday yet with the dogs thanks to a lovely cottage and a beautiful, save and fenced garden. The first cottage where we could let the dogs lose in the garden without having to worry about them getting out of it. The cottage is very cosy. The owners Richard and Caroline are lovely, very helpfull and make you feel really welcome - The welcome pack of yummy Welsh cakes and some essentials was also a really nice touch. The location is amazing, very peacefull and yet close to the local pub and little town village.

A simply magnificent cottage in the most idyllic rural setting. Apple House offers a blissful retreat from city life and the opportunity to 'get away from it all' whilst at the same time enjoying top class accommodation. If you are feeling energetic, there are plenty of activities on offer in the area (canoeing,horse riding,gorge walking) or if you wish to take things easier, then why not relax in either of the hammocks in the garden whilst enjoying a barbecue or simply watching the world go by from the back garden with stunning views of the Welsh countryside and all the local wildlife. We had a tremendous time here and would highly recommend it and hope to be back again soon - a real gem of a find!

Last minute booking yet the best holiday as a family we have ever had. Richard and Caz the owners have basically made this into a home from home. It is exceptionally clean and has everything you need. Richard and Caz are there if you need them BUT are not in any way, intrusive. If you have limited time but need to recharge your batteries - choose Apple house. If your standards are high for quality - this is your place. You are so far away from the madding crowd yet a very very short walk to a fully stocked spar and 2 pubs!!! We are already booking our next stay as the quality of accommodation AND the friendliness of Richard and Caz makes it a no brainier. When you wake up in the morning don't expect road noise just nature, and when you lay in 1 of the 2 hammocks, make sure you set an alarm as believe me there is nothing to break the tranquility only your own agenda. Thank you Richard and Caz for providing a home away from home with all the touches of a five star hotel! Our long weekend at Apple House was great, the accommodation is beautifully laid out with great attention to detail and immaculately kept. The house has a beautiful outlook over fields, the owners were friendly and helpful. The house formed a great base from which to explore Brecon Beacons and Hay-on-Wye, but equally was very comfortable and nice just to chill out in.
