“Excellent in every respect”
Reviewed 2 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Right in the middle of Hay (between the market and clock tower), this is a gem. An Elizabethan building, bags of character, and superbly equipped. There's plenty of space, it's spotlessly clean, and the welcome we received from the owner was warm and informative.

We often visit Hay, and have used most of its pubs and hotels, and they are all good. But this will be our first choice in future. Can't wait to come back in the winter and crank up the woodburner.

“Perfectly located and chic”
Reviewed 1 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Had a great few days here last week. Fab location. Really nicely furnished and decorated. No expense spared on quality, the bed, linen and bathroom all to hotel standard. The owner has thought of everything in the well equipt kitchen. Near some fantastic pubs. Well located for walking. We did Hay Bluff from the cottage. The extra deep bath proved to be a god send for my aching feet afterwards.

Will certainly be back.

“Perfect accommodation in beautiful Hay-on-Wye”
Reviewed 10 August 2015 for a stay in May 2015

I stayed at The Pavement Palace in late May this year and can't speak highly enough of it. The location is perfect, right in the middle of town and walking distance to everything you need, and the accommodation itself is gorgeous. Clean, spacious, beautiful antique fittings, and lots of lovely extra touches. James was a pleasure to deal with and quick to reply to any questions. This is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed, and is good value for money. I can't wait to return!

We had a terrific stay at the Pavement Palace. Located right in the middle of the village, the flat was beautifully presented and clean. James was great to communicate with and I would highly recommend staying here.

“Best Holiday rental ever”
Reviewed 13 January 2015 for a stay in December 2014

We stayed in The Pavement Palace for a week just before Christmas. It was heaven. Super cosy with a wood burning stove and plenty of wood provided. Fantastic bathroom with a really excellent shower (a rarity) and a lovely big bath. With a 4 month old baby in tow we were delighted to have both a washing machine and tumble drier. It's in a great location - when we were feeling lazy it was a one minute stagger across the road to sit and eat and read in the cafe at Booth's. The owner had even decorated it simply and tastefully for Christmas.
We cannot recommend it highly enough and cannot wait to go back.
